  1. Yo @arkei, Rage Against The Machine, along with Run The Jewels, are playing in Zurich September 5th. Evidentially tickets are still available if you're so inclined: https://tour.ratm.com/

  3. I mean, i have a 2015 MacBook Pro now, do you want me to give AF.
  4. My daily internet consumption pretty much resembles arkei's... Given that I work in the web space, when I'm off I really don't want to be "connected." So, I only spend about 2% of my time on my phone, thus about 98% on my laptop. Plus, I live in a beautiful area, so I'd rather stare at nature than a screen. People text me, but I seldom respond. I'm just not into it, nor being distracted or reading poorly written messages. I got dreams to fulfill, fuckers. Plus, I think it's a huge step backwards using our thumbs to communicate, when we can just hop on the phone and talk...or hash things out. Beefing through texts is an absolute joke. What could be squashed in 10 minutes may take 10 days through text. Texting is handy though when you're saying something like "yeah, I'll be there in 10." and otherwise keeping it brief. Not trying to hold a conversation though. Yep, I'm crusty.
  5. Yo @djdiggla, how are the tacos at that joint? If they're good, and I'm in Austin, I'll check 'em out. BTW, those signs are f'n hilarious. Still reading them right now... "Just Baked a Synonym Bun...Just like the ones Grammar use to bake." These aren't "Riding Around" listening to music" gas prices. My mood ring is missing and I don't know how I feel about that. No one has had a better year than the QR Code...What a comeback. The Grinch never hated XMAS. He hated people, which is fair. You're the YEE to my HAW.
  6. Get the various colored faceplates instead, then swap them out depending on your mood: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l2632&_nkw=technics+1200+faceplate&_sacat=48458
  7. Is it acceptable to record my cuts with my shirt off?
  8. I seriously miss going to the record shop on the weekly, then DJn that night with the new goods. Sometimes I received a plastic bag for my wax, but it was usually paper. Seldom did either have branding.
  9. Aight, the Aeron is back in the game. Will research them a bit more.
  10. The more I think about your guys feedback and questions, the more I'm leaning towards a nice work chair. Since those are already meant for long ass work sessions, they'll likely meet my needs, granted I don't go cheap. I want an executive chair that makes me feel like a pimp.
  11. I play a full 88-key Midi keyboard (Native Instruments S88) . Didn't think about the potential arm rests issue, which now that you bring it up, could see it being a problem. Will have to really think about that one, which is why I'm glad I created this thread.
  12. Thanks man. I tried a bunch of chairs I found on Craigslist (throughout Orange County and Los Angeles), but admittedly I was only scoping the cheap ones at the time, so they never fit my needs. May have to look again though, especially since numerous offices shut down since Covid.
  13. I like the idea of a Herman Miller Aeron chair sounds good, however, like you mentioned, "it punishes you for sitting incorrectly." Shoot, I sit incorrectly all the time, therefore I could see it jacking up my back. The reason I was initially leaning towards a gaming chair is because some of the producers I respect are using them, so figured they were all good for long-term seating. They look uncomfortable though, especially for 5-8 plus hours, so I've been on the fence. I've tried executive chairs before, but mind you, I was only entertaining the cheapest options, so naturally didn't find anything suitable for my needs. Moving forward, I think my best option is going to Office Depot and trying them out. Thanks for the input.
  14. I'm thinking about purchasing a gaming chair, but using it for music production — Namely for playing my keyboard and assembling tracks. Would you guys recommend using a gaming chair, and if so, do you have any suggestions? Or would you suggest an executive chair for my needs? Don't want to spend more than $250-$350. Sincerely, Lord JHouse
  15. Yeah, I use the Likes/Dislikes ratio as a gauge, too. YouTube needs to remain itself instead of trying to be like the others.
  16. I'd like to see a secret stash spot on a mixer, that when tapped 6 times, opens up a hidden door allowing you to hide your acid.
  17. Google traditionally makes shit products, so you guys prolly dodged a bullet by missing their special offer.
  18. Thanks man, just what I wanted to know. I've been getting back into cutting again lately, and while it's a hoot, I've been stuck in the same skratches/patterns for a minute. So yeah, thinking about learning ish from D-Styles and the gang, and thus trying to raise my game. That's cool the membership comes with a record pool 'cause I'm in the market for that, too. Peace.
  19. I considered getting one, but I don't think the neighbors above would be too happy about it. Those things can easily get pretty loud. But yeah, they work well.
  20. Suddenly, 10 years didn't sound so attractive to R Kelly.
