  1. That's a big look! Dope routine too....
  2. It'd make life easier, no doubt... However I still wouldn't want to go through the stress of editing stuff and building a 6 minute routine, or even 6 x 90 second routines... It'll be interesting to see if/when Scratch Live comes into play for the solo category... Cocoa? I'm more of a Horlicks man myself...
  3. No, it's a definite decision... There are other avenues/projects to consider. I'll still cut it up during club sets, etc... Love you too Loop... in a non-homo bromance kinda way, that is... safe.
  4. Just a quick post to say that as of today, I'll no longer be participating in any more solo/head to head battles. I believe my time as a battle DJ has come and gone, and as each year passes, it's becoming increasingly difficult to feel inspired to put new routines together. Apart from having to press shit up and spend countless hours programming routines to work exactly how I want them to (more or less doing to work for you, as some certain DJs have shown), there are hardly any good records/battle breaks out there to flip, and as a result, I've lost all enthusiasm for sitting down and coming up with new stuff. There comes a time when you just need to walk away from things... I'll still be doing the teams though, so I won't be disappearing just yet.
  5. Even though I wasn't judging... I had you down for 1st place...

  9. Hova's "99 Problems" gets thrown over Cocoa Brovaz' classic "Super Brooklyn"...slight re-arrangement on the beat for the chorus, but other than that, just a simple blend to maybe work into your sets... http://www.mediafire.com/?znnm0mzmlgj - Dirty Version http://www.mediafire.com/?jnzktomnjz4 - Clean Version Feedback is welcomed. 10. Hello chaps, here's the 3rd installment of my cross-genre mix series for 2009 - "The Mash Down" This time around, I've gone in with a mixture of Dubstep, Grime, Bassline/UK Garage, and some Southern Hip Hop from the likes of Crissy Criss, High Rankin, Rusko, Joker, Emalkay, Ruff Squad, Tempz, Bonecrusher, David Banner and more. The selection is pretty upfront and aggressive (sprinkled with a couple of classic anthems too). 11. Thanks mate, appreciated! I tried doing the same, but no luck for me...I think it's logged my ip address or something...anyhow thanks for voting! @ Flarez - thanks for the feedback dude, you can download the full mix here: http://www.zshare.net/audio/5963373665a3755d/ Enjoy!
  12. Easy chaps, just wondering if I could get a little helping hand/forum love from ya'll. In a nutshell, Vice & Pacemaker have come up with a competition, where one lucky DJ will do a warm-up gig for Sweat X & Alexander Robotnick at the Grolsch Block Party on August 21st, in Stockholm! The top five voted mixes by August 18th enter the final, where VICE selects the winner. For my entry, I've submitted "The Mash Down: Vol. 2" which you may have stumbled across on here, and on all other good blogs/sites. The way the competition works is by getting you lovely people to vote for my mix to win. All you need to do is simply click on the link below, and then click on the "THUMBS UP" icon. The more votes I get, the better a chance I have at winning! It takes less than 30 seconds to vote, and you won't have to sign up, or give away any details... http://mix.pacemaker.net/djcable/mixes/dj_cable__the_mash_down_vol_2/ Thanks in advance for your support. Cheers, Cable x
  13. Cheers dude. I'm into a variety of styles within the genre...But Rusko's track worked the best with this imo...Granted, there are some tracks which I can't get down with... Gemmy's shit is dope too...
  14. Cheers Jon. Yeah I hear what you're saying. Originally it was for a transition for a mixtape, but I quickly decided to throw it together and put out there as a small freebie...I'm gonna be working on some more Hip Hop-orientated party breaks, so there'll be more cut & paste nonsense for you to check out. Cheers! @ Matt - I could do a "Migraine Skank" blend if you want?
  15. Got a new blend for you all... Tempa T's "Next Hype" over Rusko's "Mr. Muscle" http://www.zshare.net/audio/6281211644914e5a/ Let me know what you think... Cheers!
  16. Show a bit of respect for jeppa cable, you are crew with fp therefore you should really be gracious about it! Sorry if I came across like that. Unintentional. It was hella close between 1st & 2nd place by all accounts, so congrats to Jeppa. I thought from what I saw, Phil was gonna take it. But there's always net year though! Anyhow, congrats to everyone who placed in both categories. Gonna peep johnny's set now.
  17. Oh yeh - Rasp dropping that Oasis cut definitely made me turn my head! Really diverse set. Nice!
  18. Johnny, I missed most of your set due to having to leave early, but what I heard was dope. Supremacy Final was entertaining. Good routines from both X-Rated & Rasp. I just feel gutted for Phil, who lost out by 1 point I hear...not cool, but oh well! Furious P for 2010 DMC UK Champion!
  19. Supremacy: 1st: Rasp 2nd: X-rated Solo/showcase: 1st: Jeppa 2nd: Furious P 3rd: Johnny 1 Move Congrats to Rasp. Furious P shoulda won in my opinion. And that's not because he's crew. His whole routine was tight, cuts were on point, and he had more interesting juggle patterns.
  20. "Dub A Breaks" is pretty good. Nice beats for practising on...
  21. I'll be there. Holla at your boy, famalam.
  22. "Tree" is dope. Very dope! Also liking "Bitter" & "Squeeze"...good work dude!
