aiight my bad, yeah i get what you mean now that i think about it. thats a good connection man, getting to play shit before it hits the shelf. yeah the vice city was very much like scarface even down to the ending where you take out those guys that are trying to kill you. i remember seeing something about the scarface actor or something was pissed off they made a violent game on the movie? haha sorry but wasnt scarface fucking violent as a movie, i mean its still violent now let alone back in the day. my fav part is when hes like "nah i aint gonna shoot you" hey tony shoot this piece of shit" or something haha funny shit.

Snuff I COMMAND you to play GTA San Andreas, youll play it and wonder why vice city was good, each gta gets much and much better, the radio altho still hillarious wasnt as personal as the vice city, i loved john freeloader on the public radio, also that fernadez love connection guy, funny shit and good game, youll love the new one man. its so good.... i cant wait for what ps3 is gonna be like, how long till ps3 is ready? they wont release a new game till the new system apparently.

Ah I just had a look at the name, liam as in ratfink on snatchcon right? whats happening man I remember chatting breeze with you on modding shit back in the day, the story about your friend who modded the nokia colorless phone to have diff shades of grey was hot. anyways yeah maybe ill check out these knock off emulator things for the next generation of consoles i knew there was this one for the n64 that enabled the piracy of cartidges, it was like a cd rom thing that dropped into the slot. i should of gotten one looking back and thinking about how many games i bought all at real prices. would have saved myself money. used prices on n64 games are hot tho, the n64 was good enough to play still and not suffer from too shit a framerate like 3d games on the saturn and ps1. i bought dukenukem recently, great nostalgic game that reminds me of the past, too bad i cant give cash to the dancers tho....

Had a listen, very good especially in the beginning but i think you intended it to wind down. i always run out of shit to do after a min or so, but in my own defence i really only scratch infrequently for kix, im really a mix dj. liked the "what" section and tone part, reminds me of this track nicks did with a tone making a whistling track back in the day. laters./

I totally agree, console sales went down big time because of lack of piracy, personally im one of the biggest gamers youll know yet not one of my ps2 games is real, the reason is there is such a massive disparity in pricing, i think its like the equivalent of 40 quid for a real game and less than 2 for the fake, to top it off its very hard to find real ones compared to fake i mean they are all over the place. for n64 however, even though they had fake ps1 i didnt like ps1 and resorted to resorting to "looking for that present smaller than a vdo but bigger than a cassette" or for my bday when dad go overseas and cop some games. if they had a used market for gamecube games id be more inclined to have got one, my lil bro has game cube and he loves it, personally i love gta series and i love manhunt, winning 11 so the ps2 is the logical choice. i saw a gamecube which was a limited edition and played dvd had cool stainless steel miror looking exterior, was ass expensive, i remember thinking what a shame, my loyalty to mario and pals would have made me get a GC if they made it compatable to piracy.

U all must play it if you have not, anyways for 2 players i mainly end up playing winning 11 or streetfighter/mortal kombat not much of a story line. i was gonna say lord of the rings but i dont think its 2 player, i wasnt fond of the "play the movie" ones that followed each movie, there was another one which enabled you to choose ur side, and go on your own quest, i initially started off wanting to defeat sauron but when i was offered tremendous power and gold i lost interest in integrity. go on to gamespy or some of these websites, u dont have to register to get a look at the reviews, just look for hot games that are in your genre and 2 player compatable. http://ps2.gamespy.com/ pz

I have to admit your right on soul calibur, i bought the game after playing dc in uni at my friends house and i was dissapointed when i played it on ps2. maybe because the pirated version was in japanese meant i didnt get the most out of it, but yeah i doubt that, the game just wasnt as hot. id be eager to see a sega console but i think they wont enter the ring again, just making games like sonic and such, their genesis and gamegear was light years ahead of the nintendo prods on the market.

Nintendo needs a revolution after their horribly launched gamecube campaign, they basically forcefed micsoft and sony with their market shares, personally ill always have a thing for mario and all my childhood friends that helped me waste some of my childhood so id hate to see them fuck up this next round like sega did, its all about timing, launch too quick like sega and youll go bust because your system will be shit, launch to late like nintendo and dont offer dvd compatability to thwart piracy and youll shoot yourself in the foot. Personally i have ps2, i get games for under 2 quid and the titles seem to be more appropriate for my tastes, i love that manhunt game and the gta series. looking foward news on the upcoming ps3 and nintendo units, i think xbox is overrated, and im biased against microsoft trying to take out new markets.

Oh and Socal, Im mainly a mix dj, im assuming u are too from the post on the tiesto tracks.... I love the cueing system on the empath, makes it sooo much easier than the smx501 which i like but admit is a sad imitation.... the headphone adjust option with the faders is nice too, but i loved the rane 56 many times more. even though it only had 2 channels id pay more for the 56 than the empath limited flash edition which i admit is sexy.... hes repping that mixer cuz hes the one that contributed to it. I think its complicated interface over the rane 56 is also a disadvantage, they should of made it a little bigger i think, tho its not meant to be a djm style mixer and its dope in its own respect, yeah id go either to the xone or the 56.....i like the sweeps and 4 band eq on the xone really really good control, its no secret that good dj's use this shit and get a boost in their performance from what they use. no the 56 as the scratch/mix mixer and the xone as the mix mixer.

My first mixer was an 06 pro a, its not a bad mixer....i actually mixed a lot with it too....not the friendliest of mixers for that....but yeah i kinda see the argument about learning on shit, but more so for turntables than for mixers. If you can use str8-80's for mixing because they are so untouchable platter wise....and same goes for cutting "not relying on a heavy hand" then your better off, but yeah at the end of the day a guy who drives a hot car doesnt go back to the 80's volvo less he made bad financial choices.....same goes for dj gear. mixerwise id start beeting off at the site of of a xone 92 and rane 56 under my xmas tree....so guess that tells u what 2 mixers i think are the best.

yeah, if i just dont have something on vinyll, or cant be fucked to bring my tables I settle on the dual rack, ill be playing a song and have the one i want to cue up all ready,,,so ill be chatting breeze with friends or waiting....and then i'll hear the dj on the cd start mixing into something else.....usually i mix out later than when the dj on the complication would so its not as bad, the worse i would imagine is when you start mixing and all of a sudden another hook or high starts to drop.....i try to avoid this shit by not playing tracks from friends or requests unless they assert its unmixed.... manufactureres are starting to get an idea tho, nowdays many complications feature the mixed shit and the "bonus unmixed" disc. these are great, i keep the unmixed and sell the mixed to someone if i can.

yeah I hate that, especially when you dont know its a mix complication cd not radio edits or whatnot, you dont even start thinking about mixing out and you start hearing the song being mixed into the next one on the cd.....whenever i buy a cd i end up checking the gap between 1'st and 2nd song to see if its a mix or not. I dont buy mix cd's usually. sorry this has nothing to do with the thread.

depends tho, these mixers are for professional applications, or at least they are built that way, have the xlr outs and good quality eq and components you cant find for less, as much as behringer would like you to believe that they are giving you a better mixer than what your paying for. i wouldnt mind 4 channels if i was leaving it at home all the time...or if it was meant to be in the booth its better to accomodate 4 sources ie a dual rack and 2 decks rather than having to shift in and out....i like the rane 56 because its small and is built well....tho i had always thought it be heavier than it was....when i first got it.

Me and sigma definately see a lot of stuff from the same perspective. but yeah true that, one mans shit is another mans treasure. an example of this is my nut in a flask at one of those doner clinics could just be something tasty and protein rich to one gurl and to another it could fulfill her desire to have children that were talented and good looking its all relative, depending on who you are and where you stand.

yeah i saw that shit, 3 bills for a 707 is damn cheap....is there a diff in faders between the 909 and the 707. the 909 felt nice but i didnt like having that koss pad in the center of the mixer, external sampler is the best way to go about it, onboard effects is wack. ill check out the urei then, thanks for the headsup. the thing about the rane isnt so much the faders arent gonna bleed for a long time its that they feel so good, like i said im mainly a mix dj at heart but i was pulling off a lot of crap i couldnt do before just because that mixer is so amazing, every mixer seems to be so specific, the 2 band eq cut mixers arent suited to mixing applications and those djm or 19inch beasts arent at all good for scratching, the rane is just as good for mixing as it is for scratching imo. powerful eq, wet.dry, and set the faders to slow and the unit is godsend.

I read the thread and saw a bunch of boys frustrated at the disparity between their own achievements and someone elses. I dont think many of these dj's are worth their salt, but that doesnt give me the right to call em out when ive not taken the time to compile my own stuff yet. i think someone whos got a lot of their work listened to in cars around the world, mixed in clubs, etc has a lot to be thankful for and doesnt deserve unwaranted hating.
