I completely agree with you Steve. This is my current set up and its complete bliss. I have two dedicated XBMC boxes both with openELEC installed. The openELEC in my bedroom is a raspberry pi, and the one in the living room is a mini-itx mobo. I also have a dedicated media server with unraid which serves my htpc boxes so all my media is in one place. My unraid box also has plugins such as sickbeard, sabnzbd, and plex(plex is pretty awesome as you can stream your meida from your server to a mobile device, tablet, laptop away from home). Quick question Steve what OS is your XBMC installed on and what TVTuner do you use? Here are some suggestions to install -trakt (See my signature) -youtube -vimeo -cdart(In the applications... when playing music it actually shows the disc image rotating like a cd) -tvlogos Also try messing around with different skins as some are really nice with rich features.

Steve, Could you expand as to what the difference would be to getting a dedicated midi controller and not getting a Z2? I just dont see myself getting rid of my Rane TTm56s.

Well i plugged in my serato box into a USB hub and it seems like it fried my damn card. I called Rane today and they said it could cost up to $150 to fix the card not to mention I would need to pay for shipping both ways... So my question is should I just switch to Traktor? Here is what I use in a DVS loops, cues, and cutting. I really do dig the Serato GUI over Traktors but I don't know if I am willing to pay that much for a more simplistic GUI. Also it looks like you can route the effects on Traktor to the Send/Recieve in the mixer and have post effects which would be nice. Anyways here's my main question with the Traktor A6 can I route the audio to get post fader effects? Also is there anyone here who made the jump from Serato to Traktor with any advice? Thanks

Hmm, I think there are two solutions to your problem. [First Solution] Hook up the mixer straight to the speakers via XLR or 1/4 and the connect the XBOX 360 to the rockit's via RCA. [second Solution] Buy an video switch which has RCA inputs and connect your mixer and xbox 360 to the switch then connect the switch to the speakers. This is pretty cool! I agree with Deft that it should have some sort of GUI front-end. The GUI would simply create the text file in the correct format and place it in the inbox folder and execute notator.exe. There are plenty of Python GUI Frameworks out there. Also if you don't care about having this a Windows Only application you can use C# .Net to create the GUI.

Im sure eric is asking how to play existing files from yourlooper.com from the iphone or ipad. Are those .exe files flash?

Try applying heat to it to relax the muscle massage it and stretch it. Try not to use that muscle for a while to this should help.

By the sounds of that, I don't think he put in to much time and effort. By that I mean reading and learning about the basics. I remember when I started my shit was real bad, now its just bad, but I took effort to learn what to do. I think DJing will help him loads dropping another track on beat, learning how to beat match, learning how music is structured, getting the proper levels etc. He definitely does not have any of the fundamentals, and without them you cant really do much. The best advice to give him is learn the BASICS. Dont try and make mash ups, which consists of blending and putting together loads of samples etc, when you can't even get two songs to go together. As Chris said crawl before you can walk.
