  1. anyone here know where to BUY some good vsti's? i'd rather pay for some good sounds
  2. when i chop a sample in acid to a new track, the track's tempo gets messed up somehow and it becomes slow. it did this before but fixed itself somehow. please help me!
  3. i suggest that you start your blog off with some early 90's scratching rather than 1983. i think it would be better if people got the jist of scratching first before they can truly appreciate the old skool. once they see the technical aspect of early - mid 90's scratching, they can listen to 80's scratching and understand the foundation of it all.
  4. i use east west quantum leap's goliath. i'm currently saving up for more software from them. very nice sounds, and great synths on their site from other products. for real tho, who knows where to get some legit free synths and vsts?
  5. i use fl. i don't know what you mean by draw it in. if that means draw where the keys will play, then yes i draw it in. but yea, all the beats except the church time is all played no samples. i don't know how to mix so that's why it sounds too clean. good lookin out wax, i appreciate the tips. actually i have pro tools but i haven't messed around with it yet. my homie gave it to me cause he doesn't use it anymore. i'm on my sem break but really haven't had time to learn pro tools yet. i can only really do it when my girl is out, otherwise she's using my computer most of the time.
  6. good lookin out bubba with the advice. i really appreciate your feed back on my tracks. yea i need to work on my drums and make them more banging. i don't know how to mix or master yet so that's why my instruments sound kinda weak. but yeah, i really need to work on my drums. church time i used a sample so that's probably why it sounds nice. anyway thanks for the feedback homie, now i really know what to work on
  7. my beats aren't as tight as wax and competewithpete, anyway let me know what you guys think. feed back much appreciated http://soundcloud.com/jusebeezy
  8. i like your joints man, i like pillow the best. yo btw your track "competewithpete" i like the concept, you just have to make your drums harder. a track like that should have the percussions going crazy and some drum rolls too. overall, not bad at all. i can tell you'll be makin hot beats in no time
  9. dope joints you got wax, i wish i can find those samples. can't dig where i'm at.
  10. i thought i already replied to this, guess not. anyway, sick cuts as usual main
  11. this is what im using at the moment. but you should wait for november for the buy 1 get 2 free deal http://www.soundsonline.com/product.php?productid=EW-176
  12. i like when it drops into the keys. not feelin that bass that comes in at 1:24. other than that your beat is coo, drums are crazy
  13. diggin the cuts. keep practicing at the same rate and you'll be sounding real nice soon. right now you're sounding good so don't try to go for the tech shit yet. coz if you skip all the basics, no matter how far you get technically, you'll end up having to learn the basics over anyway to make your cuts nice and clean
  14. i'd rather ask for a safe one from one of you guys than google it and find a virus
  15. yeah man, a lot of guys off rocbattle enter that battle too. a couple "superstars", if you will, off the rocbattle site. check out canei finch, hitmakers, and ra charm on the one stop shop conference
  16. well i have the mo6 which is really not worth the money. i paid 1300 usd at the time but that was before i discovered really nice vsti's. it has some nice instruments and some banging synths though and im guessing the xs series has much doper sounds. i'm just really after sounds, so to me i'd rather get vst's and a cheap controller. here's some of my beats. i haven't produced beats for a year since i moved. i got everything finally running smoothly in june so this is my recent stuff for now. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=894980 and don't mind the last two tracks. it's some scratching i did a couple years ago :$
  17. i must admit, that's pretty bad ass
  18. i took this one around last december just before i set everything up this one just now and here's my motif. it's still back home in the states i'm just working with fl and a couple vst's. my good friend is giving me his pro tools and interface. should be here in a couple of months. oh and he's giving me his other deck and needle
  19. great watch, ever since i've seen this i now listen to my productions from different parts of my room. that's just one of the many things i learned from this
