  1. What's people's views in relation to the Focus faders V1 and 2 compared to P&G faders. I'm tired of hitting around such a heavy fader when cutting, and want a bit of variation, but i've heard the V2 focus faders are shitty compared to the first version. Anyone care to share their experiences with these faders? cheers
  2. hmm we need some kind of order for scratching on the track. Someone step up and make one!
  3. Nem0Nic was one of the moderators of the old final scratch site as was Dub. I would have thought Dub would have given permission for their use.
  4. you gonna go London or Manchester?
  5. that's a stupid question. Sankey's ain't even that big. Definately going to that one.
  6. 20quid though including booking fee. you reckon it will get sold out?

    my site

yeah the site looks good so far i like the colour scheme, it'll be cool once you've finished it. The adverts sorta degrade the site somewhat though.
  8. Beat is taken from 'Little Johnny from the hospital', a great instrumental album for cutting over. Ley me you what you reckon. DJ Snatch - Company Flow Instrumental Scratch
  9. cool man, ill be sure to check the next one.
  10. I've heard about this night for quite a long time coming. When's the next one?
  11. Is that the case with all mixers, 2nd hand? I have noticed a bit more of a fade on the sharpest setting. I've got P&G faders throughout my mixer so why should the upfaders be shitter? I demand equality!
  12. yeah, if you're wanting to do echos or faded in or out tears then just use the up faders with their normal blended setting. For anything more fader orientated and if you have the option, set the cut off to sharpest and try out whatever you'd do with the CF. If your mixer dosent have such a setting i'd steer clear of trying to do anything too serious with the upfaders, although fading and echoing scratches in and out can sound very cool. DJ Shadow often provides prime examples of that within his mixes.
  13. I don't get that. You mean that by doing that you get a sharper cut off point with the way you wanna scratch?
  14. Yup, as are the vast majority involved in justus league. My tip for '05!
  15. LoL Nah once its on the night you'll be thriving on it. The more the merrier and also there'll be more chance of you getting booked up for future parties and stuff. Are you charging anything on the door?
  16. Flowerpot, you gonna get your ass to the lab in that case, or do you have any stuff lined up?
  17. So does this sound doable Pete for one track pete? Even if its unsuccessful it'll still be worth doing. - Flowerpot whips us up a beat in the next few days or so, however long it takes to get some quality together. - We get a list of DJs who are willing to scratch for 8 bars or something, and some kind of cutting order is arranged. - Everyone records onto the same version in turn (keep it Wav) Sound good?
  18. i wouldn't have thought mixers of the late 80s had any function to switch to hamster without switching the TT's to opposite channels, so they'd probably have to cut regular back then. That's an assumption though.
  19. I've been around for a while but it occured to me i've never introduced myself. My name is Matt, i'm 20 and i'm originally from Nottingham. I'm in my second year at Uni in Manchester studying Management & Leisure (!!), and I like all things DJ/Scratching/Music related. Oh, and equipment-wise, i like Vestax decks, i've got a Stanton SA-12 mixer and I use Final Scratch.
  20. I dunno if anyone remembers it (sigma, dub & gabe will) but on the stanton message we did an entirely scratched track where about 6 different DJs submitted 4 or 8 bars of their scratching. Twas cool. That do-able again..?
  21. Let's see everyone partake in this. Mines a Hamster please landlord.
  22. foreign exchange did that as well, and that album is amazing. But yeah i'd be up for donating some scratching into this if neccessary. Obviously tracks need to be created and maybe rapped over first though...
