not got an sl3, but the sl1 is bus powered, so adapter is not necessary. even if it's needed, it'll be just a 5v dc adapter that's required that you'll get from anywhere

if you get one, just get a cheap hot hatch that'll be easy to fix if you bin it or blow it up. we got an impreza, not a good idea. fast as hell, but tempremental and costs a fortune to run. it broke down before we even got it near a track and has just sat about for the last year. it's fixed now, but we're gonna MOT it and sell it. cool though My Starlet gets used a lot on track

if your music is organsed into folders and your serato crates mirror this then you could use itch sync to rebuild your library easily :-) itch sync is also good for adding new music to the library to save you having to import the tracks yourself (a right pain in the arse) you can simply re run the script and it'll scan your music library and rebuild the crates with the new music in. http://code.google.com/p/serato-itch-sync/ you need java installed and you will need to create a script file to run as it's not a GUI based app but it works very well on both mac and pc serato.

Yep did this when I first got my mixer way back when. Also, take the washer from the side you don't cut on and double it up to reduce lag :-)

Update, disabled the on board hd codec and plugged in my usb sound blaster. All good now, the issue with the codec was causing the video playback issues. Hopefully realtek will release an updated driver to fix that. Surprised I've not had any reports of that as its a standard alc800 series hd codec

been running release preview for a while, no problems. quite liked it actually but, bought pro on release day and having problems with it no sound at at all, drivers all installed ok, acting like it's playing but nothing through the speakers. realtek hd codec, working fine in RP video and youtube playback jerky. nvidia 9500GT, tried various driver combo's, no luck so.... back on release preview again until it's sorted. pah, first operating system i've actually bought too, haha
