  1. Yea, I tried that and no wobble. Sucks though because I can't keep tracks synced because of how it is
  2. I guess I'm not completely sure now. I took the platter off and set it on a flat surface and it doesn't seem to be warped. Looked at the brackets and if either of them are bent, its so slight that I can't tell by just looking at it. I took a video of how the platter looks, maybe that will help....
  3. I have an old Vestax PDX 2000 turntable I've been cutting on for years. I've been trying to learn to mix here recently, just to find myself at a stand still because the platter is warped on it. I've searched all over and can't find anywhere that sells replacement platters for this old of a model. Does anyone know of a website I can try or maybe heard of a way to upgrade the platter to the newer type? Thanks!
  4. Any chance we can extend the deadline to the 30th???? I really want to enter this but won't have time to record until this weekend
  5. Battlefield: Bad Company online for xbox 360. This game is no joke, everyone who plays COD4 should check it out. Also just got done playing Dark Sector, if you liked Resident Evil 4 then this one is worth a try
  6. I want to change out my fader knob on my Ecler. Are there universal fader knobs out there or does anyone know of some knobs that can fit on the Ecler for sure? I want one that is a little taller, thicker, and has more of an angle on it...like a triangle shape.
  7. Wuts up Steve? Can you take a look at this for me? 8. word. Laterus' cover/booklet is very well made. That artwork was done by Alex Grey, my all time favorite artist. You should check out some of his work, most of his paintings are done on six foot canvases and have so much detail in it that it takes 2-3 years or longer to finish one painting.
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwLFLUiW_24 Anyone know any records that has the "So damn fresh" sample that he uses?
  10. Thanks, thats exactly what I was looking for. Much appreciated
  11. Anybody know where I can get a looper that lets me put in beats as a wav or mp3 and loops them for me? Like a blank flash looper that just lets me put in files from my computer or something...
  12. I just got an Ecler HAK 360, does anybody know a way to stop the fader from clicking so loud?
  13. http://www.turntabletech.com/pickup.htm Anybody know anything about this, or if a straight tone arm really makes a difference?
  14. customize the fader all up?? Like i said im still a beginner, so I'm not familiar with what all can be customized, what is best to customize, etc. Fill me in?? As for the Pro-X faders, whats the prices run, why are they better, and is it hard to switch them out?
  15. Thanks man, I didnt realize there were other threads about it already. Much appreciated And thanks for the input about the vestax mixers Ryan, i've only had my decks for three months so im not very experienced with which mixers have good sound quality and which dont... I just saw that in almost every video i've watch online people are using vestax mixers or the all mighty rane mixer...mmmmmmmm.... so I just assumed Vestax was a good way to go
  16. yea i like the look of that one better too. Why stay away from vestax mixers?? I thought they were good quality....
  17. http://www.skratchworx.com/Design/sa5.html Anybody got any experience with this mixer? I need a new one, so its between this one for $300 or a Vestax PMC-05PRO3 for $400. Any thoughts?
  18. It's an alright show, that King of the Burbs guy is annoying as hell though.
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bI1PfmDl8fo
  20. My friend has been doing this for a while now too. He just draws out the design in a dark room then overlays it on the picture he wants. Check out some of his work.... http://www.myspace.com/acrossthehallphoto
  21. Which would be better, a used ttm 54 or a brand new stanton sa.5???
  22. hey could you upload that video for me so i can check it out, thanks blud Yea for me too, cuz i havent heard of a euro scratch yet and i wanna see what its all about.
  23. Nice, that was my next question, you beat me to it. The only thing I've noticed so far is for transformers. It seems easier for me to tap the fader open with my index finger than my thumb.
  24. Well I haven't settled on that yet either. Pretty much everything that I've learned so far I just practice both ways. Regular seems to work better but I have a horrible fader right now that isn't loose at all, so when I get my new one then I'll be able to decide on that. Seems right hand on the vinyl is the way to go though.
  25. I just got my tables a few months ago and I'm learning to scratch, but I cant decide which hand would be best to use on the record and which one for the fader. I'm right handed, so do you think learning one way would be better than the other in the long run, or does it really matter?
