dunno bout sound quality steve, vinyl is analogue so... i dunno where im going with this...! you can get "remastered" albums on cd eg led zepp etc that old school heads say just doesnt sound right, its whatever you're used to i guess. and production-wise i prefer my samples sounding gritty... portable-wise steve, have you seen my handytrax? pretty dope...

well after a particularly hectic gig the techie manages to break both of my needles, lose both my 45 adaptors and both my slipmats. so im rinsing the promoter of the night for some more ish... what does everyone recommend? im used to shure 44-7s, but im specifically after slipmats - butter rugs? sewer slime? what you reckon? also, i wan a pair of those nifty cone shaped 45 adaptors - where can you get those from? nice one

at my uni there are some quite pro-active societies thatr promote hiphop, they often put on good quality uk hiphop acts, for example the hiphop society put on a real good night last year where it was ty (with full 10 piece live band), phi life and rodney p all played. the club was time in swansea (x2k will know, LOL did you go to that tom? of all the venues... ) however their promotion skills are shocking at times, ugly duckling came and played to literally the bar staff. ditto krafty kuts, which was a real real shame. but yeah i just play out whenever the uni needs a hiphop dj, ive entered the juice/telegraph student battle and came 6th in the uk final at ministry... that increased awareness of both me as a dj and the fact i play srictly non-commercial hiphop. i get told off by some of the organisers but people will dance to it anyway; there is quite a strong hiphop scene at swansea uni so im really lucky cos a lot of the crowd actually appreciate what i play for them, and are responsive to new music that i play, which is cool. but yeah anyway, my rates, if its a night put on by the uni then i make sure i get at least 50 quid and free beer. if its a student house party then just free beer and weed.

anyone know where i can get a decent cheap(ish) pair? my old sony sony walkman had these dope ear buds that sat right in your ear canal so you could hear everything but they broke anyway i've been looking for a pair everywhere but to no avail. any suggestions? my budget is up to 30ish quid
