I found a nice 2 second sample that i'd like to manipulate in one of my editors, problem is, it's from an unfinished track on soundclick... I want to make the sound fuller, and map it to my midi keyboard so I can play a nice jingle. Problem is, it's impossible to download the mp3, is there any way to rip the streaming audio using some sort of recording software? Help would be appreciated. Peace.

I like the riff that's playing all the way through, but I think it should be more prominent in the piece, it's drowned out by the bass. (May be my bad phones) Like the vibe, and with some cuts i'm sure it will be really nice.

I really, really like it when the guitar comes in, that's real cool. I'm listening on monitors, and the crash sound, it seems to cut out too quickly towards the end of the sound, I think it needs a bit of reverb to soften it out, as the sound stands it's very dry and it really stands out from the rest of the piece, only a minor gripe I don't like. Though, that said, the rest of the blending to me, seems spot on, I really like the chill out vibe, it's nice and spacey too. Yeah, one of the best pieces i've heard in a while. Really dig it.

Needs some post production work, but i'm not even going to attempt it as I have no idea whats up with EQ'ing haha. I was monitoring on my £25 Phillips headphones from the upmarket audio specialists Argos, perhaps I turned the levels up too high as my phones are crap. Thanks mate.

This track was created in one take, something experimental. The equipment used was as follows. A Laptop, Ableton Live, Cool Edit, and a Roland Fantom X6. The Fantom X6 is a truly awesome synth, and live allows you to mix up off the cuff freestyle rhythms in seconds, simultaneously. Excellent tools if you want to listen, create and edit in perfect harmony, and most importantly, do it live. All of it is freestyle played out by yours truly recorded directly into live, I got a taste for this type of music when I was travelling the dub, chill out electronica scene is really taking off in various parts of the world.
