took me bout 6 hours to get online

Coz iv only just noticed today that its only coming out of one speaker lol At the moment i only have the red plug in, which makes it only come out of the right speaker. If i plug the white one in it pops then makes a noise, which increases with volume (cant hear it that much until you stop the record) but even when i plug the white one in no sound comes out of the left speaker. Its definately not the RCAs because the right turntable works fine and i plugged them RCAs into the left channel and it did the same (only played out of right speaker)

okay cheers.. stil not too sure what you mean, outer rings?? dunno if u already knew but sound only comes out of the right speaker and headphone aswell. I reckon its the phono amp thing whats blown, someone else said if you have had the mixer on right loud instead of turning up on the amp it can blow this. I'm trying to get hold of the local DJ store but theyre not picking up

*Tascam XS4 *Closing fader DOES kill noise *Dont really get that point, but i changed it from phono to line and the noise dissapeared. *yes the noise does increase with volume *when fader is closed there is no bleed The mixer has only been used for bedroom use by me but i bought i 2nd hand.. it wasn't doing it when i got it though. Another weird point iv noticed is if i take out the red RCA and plug in the white it doesnt make the noise :s (but no sound comes out from the record either)

yeah some 1 else said something about that little cable, but i've wired that up and theres no change. Its not the rca on the technics its the contact on the mixer. *confused*

When i plug the white RCA from the left turntable into the mixer it pops as i plug it in then makes like a constant noise.. not too loud but it is annoying. you cant hear it that much when the musics playing but when its not playing you can hear it well. For now, i have unplugged it and just use the deck with only 1 rca connected to the mixer. It is the socket on the mixer which is dodgy because i swaped RCAs and it didnt do it on the other channel. Anyone know what i can do? I've been advised to take it to a shop, does anybody know what i could try before taking it to the shop?
