  2. @scottie - shipping from the UK to the US is possible but gets a little pricey - the rates are up on the bigcartel website. Would probably be best if we hook you up with a local distributor. Let me know where you are and i'll hook you up with the nearest person in the US that can ship.
  3. dunno what the craic is for tonight, but The Plough is a good spot for a drink n schmoke and right near Si's , seems like a good place to link for the early birds ?
  4. nice doobs !! nice sound palette and very vibes. I dunno if it'll work / too clichéd ...maybe for the second part strip back a little and go with a more stabby synth with delay and strip the drums to a sparser hat line and simpler kicks, i.e. let the bass lead the song for a bit instead of the mids ...
  5. No idea , but i'm hoping its gonna go in the mixer or standalone box, that will do the work the computer used to do for DVS ...plug in a usb stick or two and wifi cast the GUI to any screen with wifi ... its actually pretty crazy that at the moment you have to buy a full featured laptop with an OS u dont really need just for a bit of music processing and GUI control.
  6. Yeah man, watched all the way to the end and wanted more, always a good sign. Really nice mix of stuff - fliping to half time and mixing in the simple cuts makes it well funky - need to bite that ish :-)
  7. GH vol.3mutha fuka :-) I wonder who told u that :-p
  8. I lost a record. Grass hopper breaks 3. The blue one I think. It has a round anyforty sticker on it...
  9. I got a beaten up pdx2000 off Darcy :-) a few mates have dumped records at mine too :-)
  10. Dope Eric !! Great selection of samples, very dope cuts and ur signature sexyness beats .... any chance of a cheeky D/lL , will wack this in a scratch diggers ;-P
  11. i got the brain jr, , it's is usb only and sends midi CC ... It is very easy to use , you just need buttons and wire and you've got a instant controller ... i;m gonna mod my 06 at some point ... To control a 3000, you could either run thru your computer and use your soundcards 5 pin midi out (if it has it) (this way you could program sequence in your computer !) OR There is a box you can buy that can convert a usb midi connection to the standard midi 5 pin without going trough the computer (
  12. I've done a deal in the past like Steve suggested and it def saves you moneyif you can afford to pay up front for the phone .. don't forget you can sell your old s4 and also at the end of the the 12month you could get quiet a lot selling the s6
  13. Btw, if u are at sss, u are automatically put in the battle , no excuses, no missing it for romantic dinners ;-p gonna do it csg style, light hearted, no head to heads until the final, no placings or snobbery. Bonus points for being intoxicated and funky.
  14. wicked. proper gutting that this stopped working after xp. Would be amazing to have a fresh version of this, backed up with a fuckin huge library of beats.
  15. Rockwell - are the Stantons Hanpin OEMs ?
  16. http://djworx.com/turntablists-what-more-do-you-want-from-technology/ Djworx put up the article above about what tablists want from the future technology. Got me feeling all excited and creative, but actually struggled to think of things ... - loopstation in a mixer with footswitch control (my fav ! ths could be sick for turntable music) - qfo style all in one ( everyone's buying handy Trax and frisk / raiden faders) - midi control for pitch on decks with usb connection - well backtracks pretty much done it - only said USB as i seem to have a friggin ton of them cables and midi cables are precious - a midi controller designed for that deck nice and mountable with scales programmed in ( I.E. upgrade Ur decks to a c1) - i've seen someone do touch sensitive things with tons of wires hanging about, but they look well delicate , would be nice to see a more robust approach to the idea ... tbh the conductive paint thing kicks ass over this in a way, where u can just draw on your buttons !! but i get tactile buttons could be the better idea too .. - no laptop dvs setup, dsp in the mixer, plug a usb for hd and wireless connect a screen to see whats goin on. - would be so nice not to carry a laptop , just hook up a phone or tablet to just project a GUI. - for one deck mixing, on the deck, a dedicated button that shifts the playing track across to a free virtual deck thats identical, and also buttons to jump back and forth between virtual decks - maybe a motorised pitch fader (like u get in digital mixers) to match the virtual decks. Would be nice to have a few virtual decks, so one turntable can become many. ...if you could have ANYTHING what would you do ?
  17. thinking of getting one of these and hooking up a frisk fader , will that work ? BTW ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6NGO2ZrrkA
  18. Super fun weekend, such good vibes i had goofy grin on a fair bit :-) We got the test pressings the day before so got to take em out and have a good play. Sat and Sun performances were all so original and dope at the same time, the music scene is very cool and lots of the scratching complimented the music or was the music, rather than it being a thrash fest the whole time :-) the battle was fun too - just straight up freestyle cutting - we all had a go, me n sy got thru round 1 (!!) but in the end Jimmy penguin beat Djackulate in an accapella scratch off - jimmy p's ground wire fell off and he used the static as part of the routine !!!! oh yeah - met Rick Flares too :-) hello mate !
  19. Yep I used to and need to set one up for my new way, working with hardware. I find this super helpful as pro tools is a complete blank slate with lots of routing options. I tend to add a master, auxs to use as bus sends and group send and also input monitoring (a pro tools quirk) , a couple of instrument channels for vsts and then to start off 8 midi and 16 audio channels. I'll set up the auxs onto bus chanels and make sure all the routing on the rest is setup, for input / output monitoring. Finally I'll colour code a few things just so I can see the groupings..... All of that is really just a 5 min job. I haven't gone as far as actually picking the fx or instruments in pro tools, but I do have some kits that I've made in Reasons Kong, that I saved as projects, that I'll load up and wack inTo pro tools.
  20. not sure about live, but in serato Dj if you press the 'repete' button it shouod save as a preference.
