lol its not dust and yup i get it thru the headphones too. Soeakers are pretty close to the rest of the set up. I just use the vestax standard slipmatts.

It definitely grounded properly no humming or anything. It just heavy distortion.

Yer i thought it may be, but i was trying to look for a kind of fluctuation by toggling with wires or slightly liftin up the mixer but no response. Do u reckon i should consider gettinga new mixer. I have used it out and about a lot but surely it should last longer than 2 years. One thing is that i bought sum fader cleaner from hard to find used it, then realised that they sent me switch cleaning fader with a fader cleaner label on top, so that could of fukd it ?

Hey all , was just wondering if someone could offer me some sound advice. I just moved to uni and took all my equipment with me. When i set my equipment up and started spinnin sum tracks I noticed heavy distortion thru my speakers. I thought it may of been the speakers and so I went back home and changed my speakers for another pair. When i set these up there was also distortion. Basically im confused to what causes this distortion. I figured if it was the speakers then the distortion wouldnt come through my headphones but it does and iv tried several pairs and still the same outcome. I went out the next day and bought new needles and theres still distortionso im stuck. could it be my mixer ( elcler nuo 2 3 yrs old which iv used in clubs n stuff), cartridges ? crossfader? I dont have a clue and i dont really want to start spending unecessary money so any help would be much appreciated. thanks Rasko

No offence m8 but are u havin a laff....

i practise my flare combos in stages. first, just gettin the pattern down on the crossfader without manipulating the record at all. then doing it slowly in sections and gradually increasing the speed of execution. just pause your hand when you do the second click mid-tear and reverse the action so it solidifies the middle section pattern sorry if ive overlooked what you're asking..i fear i have. laters m8 u cant even do a flare i told u this the other day. stop givin advice on shit u cnt do... not ur place. yeah u kno wot i mean. My sk-6f is really really light. So are most of u guys heavy handed with ur x fader hand cus im not at all. i try to use the lightest touch.

do any of u think it makes a significant difference tho. like will it help u to approve and if so by how much do u reckon ?

Word all, jus wondering how u lot hav ur fader. Mines exremely light and smooth ( well on my sk-6f) u can blow the fader from one side to the other. Ne ways jus wondering which is the best way to have it . I was cuttin at this guys house on saturday and his fader was sooo stiff compared to mine. I jus bought a hak 310 and i dnt kno whether i shud make it as smooth as my sk-6f ?? rasko
