  1. I was listening to Galaxy radio the other day (not by choice, may I add) and they said they were about to play an old school track. It ended up being from Dre's 2001 album, so because your average teenager gets their knowledge of hip hop from MTV and FM radio, most teens consider anything pre-millenium old school, and think Biggie and Tupac were the very first rappers on the planet. Of course, we all know teenagers like myself know nothing
  2. The promotional one that only really good DJ's can sign up for? Thus counting me out of it lol
  3. I'm with you on that. And Tim Westwood makes me laugh for all the wrong reasons. He's about as much of a 'Big Dog' as my gran's yorkshire terrier.
  4. I got SSL a while ago and have only bought a couple of scratch records since. It is quite an expensive one off payment, but after a while it should have paid for itself. And you get the updates free whenever they add new features. I currently run SSL on a laughable laptop. It's got a less than 900mhz processor and only 192mb of ram, and it still works pretty much perfectly. The only times I've had problems with it is when I've tried to run things in the background, like trying to record stuff. Then it just will refuse to work well. Saying that, I've been able to run SSL and beat loopers at the same time without any problems. So with a gig of ram you should be sorted. Installing it is a breeze too. It's definitely worth getting.
  5. Nah, Pepsi Max is horrible, I was just saying it to suck up to him. Coke on the other hand....
  6. I see. If I get talking to this Max guy I'll make sure to drop in that my favourite car from the Wacky Races was the Red Max, my favourite film was Mad Max, or my favourite drink is Pepsi Max. Something like that anyway.
  7. Ok cool. *Puts on red lipstick and tight dress* "Hello big boys" *Takes it off* Thinking about it, I have probably now scared them off, and made myself look like an arse all at the same time. Great. Oh, and why do you say 'no more'? Did you have them in the past but they started giving people pink blocks underneath their name for mentioning piracy and disagreeing with them...oh, and calling them 'needle dicked pricks' lol
  8. Yep I've seen it. I've got the blue one on. So who are the mods around here? I take it you prefer them to the ones on DJF?
  9. lol oh right, they blend in well with the background don't they. Am I at 10 or 20%?
  10. lol thanks fellas. I'm not too sure where to start here though. And as Sigma is currently seeing at DJF, I have a tendency to make things go very very off topic, very very quickly. I hope I don't get pink warning points for it.
  11. Thanks man. But I can't help but feel slightly dissapointed by my welcome. I thought I would get a hot woman come up to me with a bunch of flowers and some champagne. Or at least a free pen. Ah well, spose I can't have everything in life.
  12. Hi. I got talking to Sigma a little bit on DJF (DJ Forums) and he invited me to join up here. As I've just seen, a couple of people over there can be twats, so hopefully, you all won't be I'm always looking for ways to improve my skills aswell. What else to write...hmm, I've got a wide musical taste, but my main love is underground and old school hip hop, so I should fit in here. I wasn't even alive for the Golden Age but thanks to the internet I've been able to research and a hell of a lot of my favourite groups and artists are from then too. I'm still more of an intermediate beginner so I'm looking forward to learning stuff from you guys. And I mainly practice turntablism, although I REALLY cannot juggle for toffee, caramel, or other sugar based treats. Oh, and my posts are always long, I don't think multitracking is cheating, and The Sound Providers make the best music ever. The End.
