Guest petesasqwax
I've looked through various articles on this and there seems to be a whole rash of different ways to do it so I figured it worth asking here if anyone had already done it & could therefore recommend a particular method/piece of softwareEssentially, I'm looking to run a popular audio editor from my a USB stick so that I can run it wherever I happen to be without needing to install it locally (because I wouldn't be able to do this). Guest petesasqwax
In addition, if it's possible to create a portable version of that, would it also be possible to create one with third party plugins too?
Guest rasteri
Vmware Thinapp is considered the duck's guts in this area. Which popular audio editor out of curiosity? Some of them already have portable versions available

FUNKY 9
Echoing what rast said if it proves to much of a ball ache with sound forge I'm pretty sure you can run reaper from a usb stick.

Flexinoodle
If you get stuck you can always try Wavosaur, its tiny, runs portable (Runs without even unzipping) and it is free and developed by people who actually make music ha
Guest petesasqwax
Dope - thanks mate. Audition is servicing my needs excellently, but I will definitely have a look at that too.
