Guest Vekked
are these dope? cuz i've been thinking about switching over to ortofon as soon as they got up to speed with performance with shure, cuz their build seems a lot nicer with the needle point being more visible for marking and cueing, and I like the no headshell/wires thing too... ...buuut if it doesn't perform as well as the m44-7's I'm sticking with shure pz! pedostyle
same man, after my shure needles fucked up the concordes look rather nice, ive always kinda preferred the complete needle/cart idea anyways cuz i have a sneaking suspicion i have no idea how the hell to correctly set a headshell. if this turns out to be decent enough for Q and not just for money/hype count me in
Liam
I've used Ortofon's for 5 or 6 odd years and found them to be nothing short of superb. In terms of holding the groove, I don't really find much in it between the Shure and the Ort. I do find the Ort generally loads easier to use -it's much easier to see the needle in the groove. Plus, EVERYONE breaks their Shures, the needles are rather fragile.
