broma
I already use Ableton and Maschine but heard good things about it. Worth it? https://www.pluginboutique.com/products/4113?utm_campaign=%28L%29+PB-Email-Friday-Newsletter-04-10-2019&utm_source=emailCampaign&utm_content=&utm_medium=email&eid=AY9124941082818457132413796313120
JHouse
Are you using the Maschine software or exclusively Ableton with your Maschine?
broma
Bit of both. Mainly maschine as a plug-in in Ableton or sometimes start in maschine standalone and move in to Ableton. Just interested in Serato sample as a different way of working maybe. And the pitch and time stretch is supposed to be the best going.

Flexinoodle
Dead product, read their forum for details.
broma
Ended up buying this some months back. Whilst it does have its limitations its a lot of fun to use and pretty intuitive. Time stretch and pitch change sound really good, better than Ableton Live on the whole though obviously not as versatile as Lives warping. Id def recommend trialing it if you want to try a change up in workflow. AND... theyre actually updating it, theres a new beta out with 32 sample slots and velocity. Not a massive update but at least they havent dropped it altogether.
Flexinoodle
Is that beta recent or really old ?If you check the forum they announced publicly no updates.
broma
Yeah testing of the new beta is happening now. Welcome to the Serato Sample 1.2 beta! It's been a while since the last Serato Sample update and although you may have noticed weve been busy with Serato Studio we are still keen to improve Serato Sample and include features that have been requested by the great producer community we have. Serato Sample now has 32 pads, doubling the amount of samples you can find instantly using the Find Samples feature and increasing your chances of finding a hit. Theres also now an option to respect host velocity letting you play expressively with your MIDI keyboard or drum controller. There's also a good handful of bug fixes, optimisations and continuing support for MacOS Catalina. We will continue to monitor all feature requests and try to get back to your questions as fast as possible. Please let us know if you have any issues.
