Steve
I'm not sure which build of Windows 10 the person was running, but someone on Twitter went to install Firefox on their computer today and when they ran the installer, this popped up: - WTF, Microsoft? Flexinoodle
Been like that for a while, try to change the default for the web browser from edge to something else, up pops "Hey why aren't you using Edge, give it a try, its faster and slicker" MS are cunts, Apple are cunts, Linux FTW. JHouse
That's totally fucked, and fuck Microsoft. They've always been shady, always forcing programs on people. I'm usually so hesitant to "upgrade" to the latest Windows 'cause it generally comes with several shenanigans. So many companies have such self-centered motives instead of customer-centered craftiness.
joeClockwork
In a statement, Microsoft said the warning windows were being tested with a small number of users who were part of its "Insiders" initiative. "The Windows Insider Program enables Microsoft to test different features, functionality and garner feedback before rolling out broadly," said the statement. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-45509672 But still WTF.
