danswift Posted March 17, 2016 Author Share Posted March 17, 2016 as far as I know dirk I dont know if there are any mixes around ... he was from a completley oldschool way of doing things,he had one of those aincient double Dj consoles with the old style decks a Gerrard or something like that I think..he just kinda turned up and played the tunes had a beer or two always friendly and always happy to share his knowledge of the music ,no bullshit and no snobbery involved whatsoever,maybe Sy will know iftheres anything...they did make a documentary about him for the community channel a few years ago ,so maybe its on youtube..ill have a look and post it if there is...cat used to go over to Jamacia to buy his records which was unheard of for a white dude in the early 1970s. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I saw him play about 10 years ago at the Big Chill festival and he often played in Oxford where I lived at the time. Completely unpretentious and good tunes. Happy days - sad to hear.
