Steve
There was lots of good stuff in the MS press event for Windows 10, but one of the main things people were wondering about was price. MS confirmed that you can update to Windows 10 for free if you're currently using Windows 7, Windows 8.x or Windows Phone 8.x, provided you do so in the first 12 months after Windows 10 releases.

Steve
The only limitation appears to be that you have to upgrade in the first year. This event was aimed at showing off consumer features though, so I don't know if that free upgrade offer will apply to businesses.
doppelkorn
I think I'll upgrade but I'm going through a transitional phase with my client estate at the moment. I have to say I've found my MS account's syncing to be fucking pathetic recently.
