Steve
MS have identified an issue affecting a "very small number of users" that means when you try and play a game, you get a message saying "disc unreadable" or "disc unsupported". It was caused by the last dashboard update. They can actually detect if you've had this problem over Xbox Live and they've sent emails to some affected users, but if you're affected and you haven't received an email, you can contact them via Xbox Support. They are replacing all affected consoles with a free Xbox 360 Slim 250GB and 12 months of Xbox Live Gold.
Dan
Any word on which version of the console it's affecting?

Dan
I'm guessing it's older ones. No point getting my elite out of the loft to try.
kage
Is there anyway I can fake this and get my 360 swapped out for a shiny new one?
Steve
Haha, no mate. Apparently they know which batch was affected which is why they've been able to detect it over Xbox Live and contact people.
