Mr.Fingerz Posted November 6, 2006 Share Posted November 6, 2006 its a dell optiplex desktop! windows starts up goes to my desktop and the all audio and video turns off!and the computer is still on!it started doing this slowly computer could be on for hours and would just lose all a/v! now it does it as soon as it starts up! the only thing i have done hardware wise is put a 19 hanns-g lcd on itit started doing this after i put this on! so i went back to the old 15"mag lcd and it still does it! i also got a virus that i removed rite b4 this started! Mr.Fingerz Posted November 16, 2006 Author Share Posted November 16, 2006 i bought a new hard drive to try to see if thats the problem!but its a sata drive and iv never use one of them b4 i think i hooked it up rite but when i turn it on it sad primary drive 0 not found! iv never installed windows b4 either!so im kinda lost!iv tried to change the bios to cd etc it just says press f1 to continue or f2 to to run set up utily!i tried both and nothing!but beepsi am using a ms wirless keyboard! but it seams to work i get beeps and i can enter bios etc with it so im not shure what the deal is!!??? can any one help me??? Mr.Fingerz Posted November 17, 2006 Author Share Posted November 17, 2006 well i got the sata hooked up and windows is setting up now had to use the dell restore disk the xp disk wouldnt work!windows just booted and got 39 mins left so i hopefuly it works!
