It's more for practice than anything, I enjoy doing the montage bits more as there's more to do and you can make it flow to the music etc. I'm also a little aware that straight cutting gets hard to concentrate on, even when the level is ridiculously high.

I don't understand - what's the "reasonably priced audio interface" for? If you want to play digital audio from your laptop, you need a DVS (Serato, Traktor etc). It can built in to the mixer, or standalone. The DVS box IS your audio interface. Pretty sure Traktor 3 is going to be able to use any interface any way.

Gotta say, as someone who was there, Vazzee's drumming round sounded much better. IQ's had no bass and just sounded kind of messy. In contrast, Vazzee's was tight, on point and bassy. It really got the crowd going. I heard IQ on the phone to one of his homies saying "they dunno what's dope" ha. Maybe it's true. I know at least a few here don't rate Vazzee's cuts as high as maybe the judges did. To be fair to him, they're decent for a battle as they're superpower cuts, aren't they? Well done Jack though, gotta respect that!

Thanks man! You have no idea how gutted I am to have missed it. But it was either shoot a wedding and get paid a month's wages or this. I saw crunch was there with his camera filming some bits so I'm glad I'll get to see some more of the footage as it rolls out.

You know it's madness this stuff is happening. There's a lot of speculation that most if not all Pro Counter Strike players hack, even at LAN's! I'm still on the fence if I believe them or not, but you often see clips of what looks like aim assist through walls and it makes you wonder.

Pretty dope man! A tonne of effort must have gone into that. Have you ever considered buying a controller and controlling your camera movements with that? You could get some much smoother shots that way more reminiscent of a real camera on a gimbal or dolly. It's something they do in certain CS go events to get different movements than you can achieve with a mouse and keyboard.

Thanks (TBH I was as shocked as everyone else when he got knocked out) Haven't checked the vid yet but will do when I've got time. Nice one Doob! hahah that wasn't a dig at your cuts joe! I was rooting for both of you, but TTM also got taken out in the last round at SSS bristol a couple of years before... he'd slayed it up until that round and then just had a bad few moments that cost the whole battle. its a brutal game! I tihnk this vid only shows one half of your battle, cos I remember your 2nd round as where it all came together. If it was just the round in this vid I'd probably say TTM would have taken it (sorry braugh) but the 2nd round was the one. but yeah, not trying to take anything away from your bossitude, I just hope TTM gets a title at one of these cos he is a monster on the cut also! Oh now he's having a go at my editing... Jeez Sy, wanna step on any more toes?
