this is what happens when you start to miss some threads, you miss good ideas like this
i'll sort it in that, thanks

i put it on yousendit temporarily for sadloser, i'll find the links and put them here, they last for a good few days yet
-
no problem mate
chirp triplets are chirps done in triplet time, ie 3 per beat instead of the usual 2
someone shout if i'm talking bollocks
-

i'm terrible, i get chance for maybe 30 mins per week
quite often i can go a few weeks without even touching a deck & it annoys the shit out of me
wish i had more time - then i might not be so crap
-
at 33 1/3 rpm =1.8 seconds per rev
the same point on vinyl comes round every 1.8 secs
so if you repeat a sample every 1.8secs then it will always start from the same point on the vinyl afaik

i'd agree with $mooth, adobe is ok for multitracking but cubase can do that + tons more, including all the plugin effects and instruments and samplers
i'd use adobe just for sample editing (although i actually prefer sound forge) and cubase for everything else

i can upload it to yousendit on monday if anyone wants it, i got it a few weeks ago and havent used it properly yet
i havent used any earlier versions and it looked pretty complicated
-
i always go to the portal, never go to the forums index unless i'm looking for something
the 'latest threads' bit is excellent
-
he likes spam
-
it lets you mount iso images to give you a 'virtual' cd drive
its good
-
it's his serial number everyone uses for cool edit - very nice guy

because I need asio right?
yep, without asio drivers the latency would make it impossible to scratch with
it does work without asio drivers though, just a big response time
-
i think the cdx route is the way to go myself
-
According to Loomin on Asis, this turntable is gonna be ahead of anything that comes out for the next 10 years. He would say that though cos he's a cunt.
LOL! harsh but true

it's great when you finally get the kx drivers working
i bet you'll find it miles easier with the maya
i got a dmx 6fire 24/96 for it and it literally worked in about 5 minutes
those kx's were a bitch
glad its working mate
-
check the djdecks forum
there's a lot of stuff about the kx
everyone struggles but i think there are some decent screenshots & guides if you do a search
they sorted me out when i was using the kx a while ago but i cant remember what they were now
-
i like the black best, why is the '2' only on the blue? i like that too
-
i use it when i have time, it is very good, depends mostly on your soundcard and the asio latency
there are videos on the site and tons of info in their forum
you dont need phono preamps anymore, but i still use them cos i have them
i got my fsvinyl from djstore.co.uk, think they were £15 each
get one and the demo and you can try it out - i used the kx drivers for a while
let me know if i can answer any other q's
