  1. oops, missed the "mainly bedroom" part. If you want monitors, get KRK RP-8s (I can hook you up ) They're dope and have gotten top user ratings. These are still powered though.
  2. This has been a pretty damn good year for hip hop The new ghost album is going to be sick Jay-Z came back, maybe not as strong as ever, but strong nonetheless Nas - haven't heard it all, but what I've heard so far is nice Roots - Dope Mos Def - not sure whats up w/ him, but he seems to have a project that's slowly comming along Ludacris - So far I've really liked what I've heard. The next song w/ Mary J Blige is especially dope. DJ Shadow - some people may not like it (personaly I do), but its nice just having him back Clipse - I'm waiting to hear more, but they seem vicious as ever Lupe Fiasco - I know a lot of people like him, but even if you don't, he's definately something different from the usual Thats without even going into "underground hip hop" (which holds less and less of my interest with time). Anyway, I think we should continue to support the artist we believe in and be appreciative of what's comming out right now.
  3. Its about time to re-up on shoes for me and I've been eyeing these... They don't look quite that dope when I tried them on though Other than that I'm thinking something from NikeID.com. There are a few dunks that I like a some AirMax's.
  4. that was kinda cheesy playing off the "everyone wants to be a DJ" hype, but with that said, it was really well done and I really enjoyed it.
  5. ILL. Love that melody - can't even tell what instrument that is but it sounds lovely.
  6. i think the AEM 100 looks aight, but the AEM 100i isn't quite beautiful. After checking it out for a bit though, its not as ugly as I originally thought.
  7. right on - i think a lot of people have overlooked it because of its unorthodox design, but everyone who I've spoken to who has used it digs it.
  8. i the opposite. speak for ur own thumbs.
  9. OK- So originaly when this mixer came out, I thought it was a big fucking joke, but now I feel that its the savior of the midrange mixer market. First of all, its got great reviews on skratchworx - easily comparable to the SA-5 and well above the misereable Vestax 05-III. Second, I really believe this company is commited to innovation - after all, they're the only ones to have understood the power of the Pro-X and actually included it in their mixer. I have spoken to some of my respected DJ friends who have used it and they've been really impressed. Here are the SkratchWorx articles: AEM 100 review SA 5 review AEM 100i preview What do you guys think? I hear a lot of people asking for midrange mixers, but the 707 is gone and the Sa-5 has fucked up distribution (and it even be a worse mixer than the AEM 100). Would you consider the AEM 100 as a lower price option to a Rane/909?
  10. I don't know if you guys know this, but besides getting severely overcharged in the UK, the US dollar is at a fourteen year low against the GBP. This means that this is probably the lowest cost opportunity you will have to purchase gear in a very long time. Also, the holidays are approaching so the timing is particularly appropriate Just thought I'd spread the good word More info here Please holla @ me if you need anything! I'm working on becoming authorized with a few other brands, which means lower prices on more gear, but I'll reveal more info when I have it
  11. haha, thanks man. My group doesn't really give a shit about the presentation of the report so I had to just rasterize it to get rid of the extra letters cuz I wouldn't allow for them to be on the cover page - they wouldn't care tho Life, eh
  12. can't find the mofo. I ended up rasterizing the pice of shit and just erasing the letters
  13. Hey guys, I'm working on this 100 page report. A friend designed the cover for me, but he used a font called Niagra solid. There are litteraly 2 letters that need to be fixed, but I can't do it w/o Niagra Solid and I've only found it online for $40. If you can please hook it up ASAP I would be sooooo thankful.
  14. Your gonna find it extreamly hard to urinate or jizz! but its probably better for smacking things
  15. I believe the black part comes off like a mini-mat. Otherwise those slipmats would be 100% useless (especially at their price) considering you couldn't play your 12"s with 'em. yadadamean?
  16. Gotcha I wasn't sure so I figgured I'd put it out there. Good luck again!
  17. Content wise, this looks good. However, I think the style of writing is a bit sloppy. I would edit it for you, but I'm too busy for the next 5 days. I suggest you find somebody who really excells in writing and ask them to give it a thorough editing. Also, stay consistent. If you're going to use hypens, stick with hypens "-", if you're going to use colons stick with colons ":". Using them interchangeably shows you are not attentive to detail and are sloppy. That is the most blatent inconsistency I saw, but I'm sure there are others. Make sure the way you space things out (litteraly, the amount of lines you put between items) shows consistency also. Finaly, applications to universities and various programs usually expect answers in sentance form. Your whole thing looks a bit too relaxed for an application because you liberaly use lists and paragraphs interchangeably. good luck homie.
  18. Depends for what you're going for if you're looking for an "I've done more time than you" name, try: butt plug if you're going for im from texas and "lil," and more "lil" than you, try: Lil' Trill Lil Next you have the, "I'm a spiritual guru, but I'm still from texas, biatch," you may choose: Shaka Trill Or if you want a tried and true one, you may wanna try: 2Pac or Ja Rule Edit: I heard mike jones' copyright on "Mike Jooooooooooooones!" just expired!!!! Grab that shit son!
  19. can't listen, but I just though i'd mention there's another much better known MC known as Medaphoar LOL. Not a very good name from a marketing perspective. (Sorry for the uselessness)
  20. Hey man, this is pretty interesting. A friend of mine had a gig like this in LA. I know he played Kanye - Heard em Say. You can probably get by with playing a lot of soulful stuff like that with tame lyrics. Stock up on some neosoul (jill scott, john legend). If this is a makeup thing, make sure you have plenty of chick music: mary j blige, mariah carrey, even celine dion (puke). Also, it may not be a bad idea to have some housey shit. Your young chicks will probably appreciate it and old people usually don''t mind it as background music.
