  1. lololol aye stream it live... i don't think so mate :p im only going to be making like £10-20 out of this so its alright lol

so do u own a server or summin? i've been thinking of broadcasting some stuff from my house once a week or summin.

thanks for the advice... still haven't got "Let Me Clear My Throat" anyone know a website where i can get it for £7 including P&P???

otherwise i've made a track list... quite a few new tracks so far with a couple of instrumental and accapella mixes...

  2. but yeah im gonna concerntrate on a good opening track.... and something more technical to end with...

If I may... Dj Kool - Let me Clear My Throat

yeah man checking it out and if i like it i'll see if i can get hold of it... glasgow isn't great for hip hop records

EDIT: Oh i've heard this before defo i think i'll be hunting this record down :p

  3. I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! this advice has really set me on the right track now... i'll be playing tracks to start with... accapellas, new songs, then come in at the end with something good at the end... i could go for straight up cutting... which i've done before live at my last gig so that would be easy and all the people at the end of that gig were like wow (people who have never seen live scratching before think even the bad stuff is great :p ) but yeah im gonna concerntrate on a good opening track.... and something more technical to end with...

    cheers :d

  4. Rigth lads im needing a good kick up the arse of what to do for a gig i've got on the 25th... i'm wanting it to be a nice scratching set... 15-30 minutes is about the time i'll be on....

I can only really scratch with my left hand, but i've got a few doubles of records for juggling which i'll make an attempt at... but i just need some videos of sets that aren't too complicated but i need something good as its about 300 or more people... this is my 3rd gig and the last 2 i didn't do much scratching but i want to get known so i have to really pull something good out.

any advice would be much apprieciated

  5. nice man so ur definently getting ur self out there... i've just done local things. My mates are in bands and stuff and i just open up the battle of the bands and stuff... stick on a few records inbetween bands. And i did my mates Birthday party about 3 weeks ago with my mate whos a house DJ.

I'm in the process of making a big sexy demo cd... the beats are all going to be recorded from real instruments, my lecturer in college says he'll stick in a few guitar licks and my mate Stephen is gonna lay down the drum beats while i stick in the main tune using my bass guitar and probs get my other mate Paul to stick in a few slap solo's... i can't play slap bass at all. And on top of all that i'm going to layer it with scratching :p should be exellent... im mainly in the thought process the now and i'll need to get to the studio and get some of it recorded.... it will take me untill about christmas. So i'll post some previews at a later date.

  6. man listening to ur files u seem about the same style / level as me... well ur better but listening to it reminded me of what my cutings like... my advice is don't cut the same sample so much it makes it kinda repetitive... cut all the parts of the sample. Otherwise its better than what i can do :p

heres just something i made there (thanks Dub Se7en for the Instrumental for Terrorist which i stole from ur site :p )

  7. oh and i've almost got enuff money for a stanton SA-5 :d

Now i do have enuff money... well did :p

also i took the crossfader out and rewired it the way u showed me and the cut is much better shame i can't use the other settings anymore... but i've still got the different cut settings on the volume faders...

thanks for advising i get that mixer... its the shizzy tizzy :d

  8. right man im sorry to let u know that the price for the rane ttm-56 is just too high as it would probably cost £450 upwards after tax and if it was gonna be £380 then i would wait but its just going to be very long till i have enough money.... so i've went and ordered a Stanton SA-5 from djstore.co.uk but i'll probably be looking for a set of replacement needles for M44-7's near christmas

    peace

  9. i was going to make a topic on them :o anyway im really thinking of getting a set.... i love the look and the price is quite tempting aswell... im definently not sure tho i need a deck that can hold a needle well has a smooth platter and high torque (compared to my current decks anyway)

i've been looking at ttx, tt-500, 1200 and PDX2000 advice please guys

  10. Oh shit.... man i've been cutting for about 8 months on my shit ass numark decks and numarks standard shit ass broken mixer... which im replacing asap... and i've never heard such flow and alternate cutting like that, yeah it wasn't perfect and i just don't like needle dropping at all, the thump as it hits the record sounds nasty in my opinion... but i'd never be able to do anything half that good. Man u have alot of skill...

You got any videos of you cutting? and whats ur set up like?

  11. UK people check this out

    http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/xbox_3...60&ref=HOMEPAGE
