  1. C'mon. As if the internet was ever free/democratic. The dog leash will just get tightend since the US is seeing their skins swim away as you say in German or whatever. You had the EU changes that was voted for by the EU-guys. Now the UK and Switzerland will either be shown merci (like with downloading) since too little or made an example of (by forcing them to comply). Waiting for Zuck to save the world...
  2. If the hamburger-incident wouldn't have taken place, then I'd still be playing "Looking for Freedom" by the Hoff. But everything changed after that... It's difficult. I try to ban everything, when the artist pulled a Africa Bambaatta. But it's difficult if a there's a lot of nostalgia with a specific artists work. I used to really dig Rapper's Delight and was always playing that tune with my little brother (it was on a shitty disco compilation that I still have). So finding out they were biting the lyrics let a sore taste, but it's not as a bad as what others did. And James Brown. I grew up on that ish only to find out afterwards what he and his wive did to that poor woman... I guess the harder the crime the more difficult, ignoring the facts... So I try to ban/ignore them
  3. Digital DJ-ing in some ways can be considered as Ferengi-DJ-ing. The ferengi are the greedy-latinumloving aliens in the star trek universe, that let their females pre-chew their food (too lazy to chew they only wanna swallow the food). This logic applies if the computer is doing too much and the DJ turns into a machine operator. This doesn't count for all digital DJ-ing of course. This new "hey now you can produce" in Serato-DJ supports the same sheeple-approach. Like with the Ferengi-DJs (these Tools who depend on the new Tool to be called DJs), these Serato-"DJ"s can also turn to be the next new producing phenomenon. If you're already into production, you won't be needing Serato or a DJ-Blog telling you how to produce... And subscription models give me "mal à la tête"...
  4. 99 problems Jay-Z (your favourite Ex-Crack-Dealer) can go eff himself and his "reinterpretation" of Ice-T and Brother Marquis smash hit...
  5. RIP Keith. Always loved the Prodigy even though I'm not much into that type of music/genre.
  6. The precision of his druming lies in the accentuated mustache he sports... Thanx Mike for doing this interview...oh and I still listen to Phantaz from time to time too
  7. They piss on him for 13-16 months? I hope they put some stool on him too...
  8. The black/yellow Nightclubs came in both styles (elliptical and spheric). I of course had the spheric version. IMO they sounded better and where holding the groove as well as the DJ (blue ones).
  9. I used to play on Stanton 500 AL's then went to Whortofon Nightclubs (OM-Version) and then finally switched to Shures I got some replacement stylies...so as long as they hold I wont go back to Whortofons
  10. "Doing it to the death" is one of my fave JBs track (with James singing on it)...
  11. If ever Michael Knight would press-kiss Pam à la James Tiberius Kirk, then she would be out in the woods hunting bears with her bare silicon titties and eat them raw. Nobody can withstand a real press-kiss (hardcore-schmussing)...
  12. We (I) used to have a Hoff-Shrine for fun in our former scratch-pad. It contained lots of Knight-Rider-Audio-Tapes, most of the Hoff's discography etc. DJ Revolution couldn't believe his eyes, when he once came to our scratch-pad, while being on tour. There's a garage near my place, where they got a Trans-Am/Kitt The Hoff's cameo appearances in Spongebob, Dodgeball and Euro-Trip were super-duper-dope Not true man. His knowledge, wisdom and understanding, made socialist eastern germany collapse during that legendary concert at the berlin wall. It led to Reagan and Gorbi signing the accord
  13. My wife did her master of international law with the topic "Facebook and all the contracts you accept". It's around 27 different contracts that you agree to, when marking that flag when accepting their terms. So basically you're handing them out every possible right, when you use their "free" website, where you can share etc. blabla. It must be the same with all the other unsocial medias. Why even bother about privacy, after having signed up to these data-octopusses? And the outrage regarding Cambridge Analytica only proved, that most Facebook users aren't aware of what they agreed to. That box of pandorra is widely open and the cover is broken... I was unprudent about online stuff from the start of the Internet up until 2000. Then I had a credit card issue (somebody was trying to play the UK lottery with my visa card for the amount of 5000£) and was starting to pay more attention. So no social media for me at all and no unnecessary give-away of metadata. Wifey is in Facebook with a fantasy name and she doesn't post pix of our kids.
  14. Nice one JB. I bought one myself after reading your post (got mine for CHF 90.--). Really digging it so far
  15. Timestretch? I thought this thread would be about David Icke...
  16. Co-sign. Whenever these guys drop that marketing-gibberish or just quote it, without having a palmares of their own in said craft, then it's just laughable and clickbaitory like these influencers are doing it IMO. Happy I don't work in such an area...
  17. Having a "redundant mixer" cupboard is sexy, very sexy LOL. Who's line was that again? Funny stuff. Solomon Grundy or PlantMeat...it was the one with the Super-Richard-Pryor Avatar
  18. Having a "redundant mixer" cupboard is sexy, very sexy
  19. The Ruck > The Bontempi Ruck I got my C1 from Mustache-Style. I did like the Ruck too, but I always looked at the C1 as being something that D-Styles enabled (connections with Vestax)...
  20. D-Styles and DJ RPM were in a DJ-Group with a guy (can't recall his name), who made the first Battle Break. I thought reading this once on Ds Forum... I think his name was DJ Nutcase
  21. I don't like his music, but I'd surely like to have his gear
