yeh i was thinking about that ynot as i was doin it, but its something i'll hopefully live with
its as you say - liveable with.. failing that just pinch a fader nob from some club you play at
no i could never recommend that. i play fortnightly at a place with a pio 500/600 whatever [sux i know] i hate it..its got no caps on at all.. fader, and four stinking channels and still no nobs...

ever since i got my rane sometimes the fader cap coting hasnt always agreed with my skin, and so my fingers would stick and not move as freely as i wanted,
so today i had a good idea to put stickers covering the two sides so that my fingers can slip off like i want.
in short, it works a treat.
anyone else had this sort of problem and done the same thing ?
i had a problem similar with a fader cap that had little holes in each side, just tiny ones, for looking cool no doubt, but my little finger nail would always clip it at the end of a crab and it was annoying...it was off a stanton mixer, a real nice fat cap that ive kept. i put stickers over it, but it does get annoying cuz you peel that away slowly and then your left all gummy...so you put another one on and repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat...

After 60 battles we have now reached the world finals of the wstc battle 2006.
I would like to congratulate everyone involved in making this the best ever battle i have had the pleasure to co-run.
The final will be held here on slickbeats on the 19th March and will see Craim of italy going against Unkut from Germany.
Also we will be having a 3rd and 4th place battle on the same day between Shub from Canada and Savwar from Ireland.
We have seen some awesome battles this year and we will return next year to hold another no doubt.
Big thanks go out to ALL the judges who have had some real hard decisions to make and a big thanks to all the guys who put in for the prize pool,even tho we could still use some more cash so any donations are very welcome as we have decided to hold the 3rd/4th final we need more trophies.
Also a big shout to Ebsel ,the guys behind the proxfade,five four clothing ,stacks of wax,vinyl-recording.de and skratchworx for supporting this years event..and thanks to everyone who has stopped by and listened to all the dope battles and the biggest thanks to Tobias for hooking up the number 1 battle site ever.

Total trip--OK. The screws that connect the fader to the metal faceplate (all included in the box) BLOCKS the fader--at least with mine--when screwed in all the way! I couldn't belive it! So I went to the hardware store to try to find shorter screws but had to settle for two little washers for each side--now it works/feels great! I can't belive that!

i used the LE at DJ;s for life and the lacks of EQ's didn't make a lot of difference.
i dunno.. i know what your saying...but you cant even cut the bass

i only just found out, as ..altho ive always ~*wanted* a qfo, actually looked into it a bit recently.. an LE offers phono input - get in thats brilliant.. but no EQs..WTF?! no eqs????

equally thought the transfader could be soemthing cool - but then thought that probably means transform cut in/out curve like they put on the digital o6 - again , very gay, cant be arsed to learn to transform? why not just move the fader from left to right and well do it for you..why not just buy a mixer with a free built in q bert and youll never have to do anything aagain?!
rubbish. which is a shame, cuz the 360 was great, and they have only made useless unecessary changes wihtout actually making anything better...

ah ok. just asked cuz prime cuts was coming to the local uni round here the other day. i couldnt see cuz i had a gig on that night..pparently he just turned up near the end, played a few cheesy hits, a bbit of drum and bass and a tiny bit of cutting..such a shame seeiong great dudes like pc playing the uni circuits..
