  1. Giving this a listen now https://delawon.bandcamp.com/album/earth-seeds-2 It is super niiiiiiice. You must be a proud dad Dan
  2. Shucks, thanks guys! I wasnt sure about it, just goes to show hey. Rock Well I thought yours was ill. would love to hear more in that unique stylee Thanks as usual for supplying the dope material to play with. Definitely going to be raiding that comp again.
  3. The watery thing sounds like dirty needles to me mate. Have a look at the oscilloscope thing in the setup maybe? If it isnt a vague circle and is twisted and shit its likely the needles or maybe even the phono cables. Worth a check
  4. Went with Rock Well in the end for such a curveball of a tune and a really dope sounding mix. Phonetic's has been stuck in my head though, it was a tough call. Thanks for the votes on mine So when's the bandcamp comp coming together then crew?
  5. Same. Can't decide between Rock Well and Phonetic. All dope dough.
  6. Here it is then. I'm not happy with it but it's all I could come with... Sounds good
  7. Might be a four way my boys. Had a chance to start cooking something up. Will see what it sounds like tonight. Im away on business (like a cunt) so no decent speakers or access to my usual toys. Could be awful
  8. Fuck, there's no way I'm gonna have something for the 5th. Will try and make something with something off this anyway and throw it up here sometime, or something.
  9. Yes rocky, Ill try and get something done for this.
  10. I guess now you can load better 808 samples than the ones that come on it
  11. A mate's got one and he gets some proper good grooves out of it, mainly on the house-y tip though. He's never complained about loading the samples. Seems to just use it for drums, not sure what it's like for longer sounds or if you can chop on it.
  12. Shit, thanks man. I wouldn't know where to start. Not really up on record labels these days. Maybe there's a tiny indie out there somewhere that would put them out on bandcamp and I'd make myself a sweet fiver!
  13. Welcome man. Feel free to take part in the beat battles here nah mean
  14. Cheers crewdem! Chuffed the beat has gone down well
  15. Daaaaamn hard to choose. Standard.! As soon as I heard Diggla's I thought, yep that's gonna get my vote, but Phonetic's and Rock Well's are super funky too. Diggla - Just love the vibe off this track. It gets me doing a weird double time backwards head nod. Love the percussion sounds, the drums in general. That kick hits even on crappy laptop speakers and all round stoned vibe is great. Phonetic - This could come straight off a DJ Design breaks record! Love it. Rock Well - That's a proper groover. I could see it going down a treat on a funk and hip hop night. Major props for doing it with bunged ears mate! Gotta vote for someone so I'm gonna go with Diggla as it's been in my head since I first heard it, but everyone deserves votes tbh
  16. Yeah, that's fair enough man. I actually started on Ableton Live really briefly, then went to Cubase, then Logic, then back to Ableton, at first because I was jamming a lot with mates and Logic was an absolute fucker to have multiple midi controllers across multiple channels, then just found Live so much easier to do what you've listed and more and haven't looked back. Maybe if you're still finding Logic a ball ache in a couple of months fink abaaaaat it
  17. Completely agree man. There's a lot talent on here and the vote is always a tough call. Even if the style of something isn't my cuppa I can appreciate it and there's stuff I've heard on here that I come back to - Shout outs to danswift and Phonetic especially on that front! Indeed! I've got a little less stressy about it, and these battles have really helped that. Being a bit less precious and just getting stuff out there. About 10 years ago if I was in the same room as someone and playing one of my tunes I would literally physically shake I got so nervous about it. Now I try to just slip them in (ooh er) amongst others rather than be all 'listen to what I've made' about it and never has anyone said 'what is this shit?!'
  18. Yeah, I'll still be doing this. Any hits that don't land where I want them can be tidied up with the mouse. My current workflow is: Sample into Logic from vinylSpend ages getting the loop running in timeChop up the audio and nudge any bits that don't fall on the drumsEnvelope all the audio regions so there's no clippingMix and arrangeDecide that it sounds crap and give up. It's fucking miserable. It's actually less hassle to make scratch music, which is notoriously fiddly. Have you tried Ableton Live? It's much easier to do most of that than in Logic IMO, especially looping, chopping, enveloping. Some people really don't get on with it but might be worth a go on the demo to see if you like it.
  19. Started something today. May or may not be done by tomorrow but maybe end of Wednesday if peeps can wait
  20. I can't even begin to get my head around this!
  21. Thanks guys! Pleased you dig them. Gotta work on the confidence, this helps a bit, ha. Mental health hey And once again, BIG thanks Rock Well for providing the inspiration.
  22. Cheers mate. Really nice to get positive feedback as I don't have much confidence to be honest. Need to up the speed of getting these done though!
