yeah i was thinking how its not really practical to transcribe a scratch routine for all the crazy changes in speed and how little scratching it can actually show (take pages and pages to make a couple minutes) and you cant really tell what the hell is goin on when theres prisms and shit, i think its mostly just to explain to dumbasses like me how delayed flares work

i wanna figure out how to do delayed 1 or 2 click flares but no where have i seen a good explanation, perhaps could someone draw up a quick scratch notation chart? a shite one in paint will do, i just dunno when to do the clicks thanks

with practice it will become second nature sometimes im amazed how natural it is to do some techniques that i couldnt fit in my thick skull a few months ago and now i dont really have to try, i know its annoying but practice really does make perfect

when youre holding the record with the fader open, on your headphones mostly, and the platter is still moving is it normal to hear the slipmat moving underneath? cutting off the low EQ's still doesnt get rid of all of it....i dunno if this has always ocurred or if im just going nuts thanks

i have been a bedroom dj for about a year, i havent ever performed outside my room. i have performed for others just not anywhere else. wake up real early to put my table, 2 technics in my road ready cases, amp, hugeass speaker, and bag w/mixer and records and whatnot in my car. nobody told me i would be dead tired by the time i got home. this was an audition for my high school assembly, first of it takes me and my mate for ever to set up, like 20 minutes or something, and the judges and officers were getting annoyed, then one of the legs on my fuckin table decided to collapse! damn thing exploded everywhere! we originally were going to scratch on the auditorium floor (did i mention there were a bunch of flights of stairs we had to go up/down?) but my other friend got us a table, good guy. thank god i bought technics and a rane, things are like fuckin sherman tanks finally get to perform after busting our asses getting our stuff there, but then we didnt scratch more than a minute before they cut us off! was kinda satisfying to hear the "oh my gods" and "wows" though i guess....pack our shit up, go back to the car, my friend told me to park in a lunch lady's spot, and the lunch lady parked behind me! cop drove past, gave me a ticket (only 10 dollars since it was my first tho) and had to get the lunch lady to move her car. now i know why the QFO has such appeal im kinda hoping we wont be chosen now lol

just watched the vid in FF7 of the weapon attacking junon yesterday, fuckin badass godzilla style, cept godzilla loses the movie coming out is called advent children, it takes place 2 years after the events of FF7....looks incredible

i think i shat myself q...on a pioneer mixer surprised yoga wasnt after him, hitting him on the back of the neck with a ruler like a catholic school teacher i cant even comprehend meeting the guy or being asked to stand up on stage by him as for saying you like star trek, nothing wrong with it, dj's are prolly some of the nerdiest bunch of freaks on this planet, especially scratch dj's. if you mix, at least you can get in a beer or two or socialize, scratching consumes your life
