in trying to learn delayed flares im having a hardtime doing the flares and changing the direction of the record as you click, kinda like forward and reverse chirps....i need a degree in rocket science to contemplate this crap
-
god damnit my head hurts. the first file that chile posted sounded like what prime cuts did but if you get more complicated than 2 click flares i have no idea wtf technique it is.
trying to get 2 click clovers down, those are bitches.
thanks for the help tho
-
funny how most consider forward or back tears simple but clovers are a bitch to get down
-
for some reason on the scratch perverts second tutorial the bit where prime cuts shows how to do reverse patterns....its like a chirp and a 1 click flare kinda but when he does it both back and forwards it blows my friggen mind...simple but sounds complicated...
anyone else have probs w/this? mebbe im handi
thx
-

question is, how did they know giotto's circle was "perfect"
someone spend the time to calcuate all the tangents and such?
-
-
what about limewire?
havent used it much tho
-
excellent man. love your stuff, keep it up
-
now that i listen to it again the file aint that bad for a beginner.
still amazes me how people are still pickin up decks that play vinyl and scratchin brings a tear to me eye
-
trying to mix different techniques and your emotions and how you wanna express yourself can be difficult, im not even close to gettin near that, but like they said you practice it will come with time. qbert didnt buy a turntable and a couple weeks could cut like a madman. atrak maybe
-
so is the qfo but you dont hear anyone complaining, still works fine
-
expired already :-/
i plan to run it in my channel 2 line in on my mixer so i can do stuff like cut the sound to accent parts then bring it back in, was the idea anyways
-
anyone have some beats they like to scratch to on their comp? id like to load some on my mp3 player so i can scratch to em....thatd be neat
thanks all
-
think i posted it on another thread somewhere about my first gig
the little ring that keeps the table legs from collapsing in (because the legs folded in) became loose and in front of everyone the leg collapsed, 3 turntables and 2 mixers fell on the floor and the damn leg ripped off and was broken into about 10 pieces
i got my first setup feb of 2004 so little more than a year, but i really didnt get any decent scratch records or slipmats even til march LOL
i havent really practiced as much as most of you cats have either...im lucky to have time for an hour or 2 a week
as for the channels, i hook it up to one speaker and i have dual rca outs to my crown amp (love that puppy) but if i have the pan in the middle it sounds shit so i have to put the channels to either left or right for it to sound normal. forgot i had it on hence the crazy recording if they were both on one side you woulda thought your headphones/speakers broke
-
thanks for the advice man appreciate it
ever since my table exploded ive been practicing on the floor, its hindered my skill slightly LOL
-
haha great stuff
-
be honest
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/8/djbinary_music.htm
kinda skipped a lot, hence the awkward gaps
trying to do scribble fades is kinda hard :-/
the drum scratch shit was just showing my friend a year ago how to transform drums, it was shite as id only been doin it like a day
-
that echo effect hurts my head
-
oh ok i got it so instead of a chirp which uses just the tip you go farther in the sound k thanks
