Third...take it easy. Going all out with your setup (i.e. badass tables, mixers, effects units, loop pedals, etc) won't make you a better DJ. I know I speak for almost every DJ out there when i say we all started with a wack setup...a standard setup at best. It's really not neccessary to have all top-of-the-line equipment

anyways i have a 56 it kicks ass. if you buy a hak 360 or a rane 56 you never have to worry about replacing faders ever again (especially the ranes, ive heard stories of guys buying bent up 56's, sending em back to rane for free faders. awesome customer support).
just warning ya, if youve gotten really used to the vestax mixers, for me it was weird adapting from the fader tension to the cut in time. but after a while it'll be bliss

i dont understand why anyone would trade in their techs for those old ass vestax decks. look at the bottom, doesnt it look like it'd wobble like a bitch? and the tonearm looks like it was made out of empty coca cola cans...

if youre using headphones
make sure the "master cue" button is not pressed.
the faders dont respond to master cue, obviously.

since the platform for the mixer is raised i think it would be kinda weird to have your faders an inch or more higher than your deck unless you have gorilla arms

yeah i remember that other car game was supposed to have similar graphics that are supposedly "in game"
play it on a regular tv with shit resolution and it looks maybe a half a notch above a playstation 2 game. unless you wanna invest in a 500 grand HD tv, you wont get it to look this good
the first PG game was so friggen hard i threw my controller at my window....so i stray away from that game as much as possible

either is fine to me. for feel i prefer techs but i love changing ultra pitch and letting the sound play then dinking with it. if i could start over id prolly buy black techs instead. oh well

i actually thought it was pretty good.
but maybe i havent reached that level of skill yet to where you can analyze things perfectly and know how they screwed up
maybe im transitioning between that phase and the "oh my god he uses records instead of cd's!" phase...

i like the "say what" and the bird chirping sample (best way i can describe it) on the superseal record lately.
i cant do much with vocals because the sample length is so much shorter than the ah, its hard for me to do 2 click flares on a sample thats like a cm or 2 long
