i would consider dj'ing for an emo/new punk band. i hate the music, but just for the sake of getting the art of djing out to a wider audience. i think there should be more dj's in rock bands, to get in peoples heads the idea that dj's arent just gimmicks but are legitamite musicians, as much as guitarists or vocalists

find its quick cut in is too fast for me to do 2 click flares correctly...is more practice required or hopefully im not the only one thats crazy?
I talked with DJ Quest last month about his crossfader curve setting, he likes to turn it a little to the left to decrease the slope cut in time. I got to use his Rane and his settings didn't disturb me. Try doing that if its too fast, turn it a little counterclockwise to the left; just imagine all the guys who talks about 1 millimeter cut in distant would say about this.
you fuckin serious?! quest is one of my favorite dj's! i love his style. i kinda got the idea in my head you have to have it in the fastest cut in time to have real skills....gah. thanks for the help all

would anyone happen to know where the beat from the movie scratch on the bit where Q, shadow, flare, and relm are scratching in q's house? i thought it was hot stuff and i wanted to know what vinyl it was on, id imagine a dirtstyle record thanks

yea, i see a lot of shitty groups that can do crazy fast chirps/tips, faster than i could ever do and i wonder how that is possible, thats probably all they practice since you never see em do anythin else
