  1. a new zelda......i'm drooling....
  2. Great stuff broke. You know I love the routine. Good to hear the crowd loving it too. And congrats on being such a sick turntablist. Been flat out by the way. Totally under water. That's why I haven't texted or called in a while. From next Monday onwards I should have more time. Lets do dinner. Cheers, O.
  3. Steve - I'm surprised you say that. I've played tons of gigs in bars, night-clubs, weddings etc. I always refuse to bring anything more than maybe my mixer (prefer not to) and needles (prefer not to). So usually I just say: This is a good spot to hire a setup - take it. And my standard mixer for playing out is a pioneer. I'm never going to be doing any cutting in a club-setting anyways. People don't get it. So why do it. I've had beer poured out over my records, needles broken mid-set, mixer fall on the ground, people start a fight infront of your gear pushing eachother onto the dj-table. Forget it, never in my whole life, will I put my gear at that kind of risk. People usually turn to cunts when they drink, and I'm not going to be paying the bill for that. Even if it's just insurance excess. Forget it.
  4. I think IQ's vid is also some of the best cutting I've ever seen. The funk combined with that technique. My god. The funk.
  5. Playing a venue with several hundred people - and you stil have to bring your own gear? Weird. I refuse to bring any of my stuff for explicitly this reason.
  6. Haha, his movie career. Funny guy. Credit to Meth, but he prolly needs cash for his drugs
  7. this thing died. good work dopp. thought you were going to put together a mix of all the mentioned tracks. now I'm just bummed.
  8. How is it that we have so many good scratcher's on the board? What happened to all us middle-aged men reminiscning on how the "good old days" were...? Jeezus. It took me about a month to learn how to crab back in '96...and now it seem as if people learn that in a day. O.
  9. Fakser's last 10 seconds are ridiculous. The beat is absolutely horrendous to cut to and to be able to pull of cuts like he does (especially in the last 10s) is insane. But jeez is this tough. However, Fakser FTW IMO. Pee.z
  10. So I'm just naming some that haven't been mentioned yet, but the selection until now do represent a lot of excellent tracks Sugar Hill Gang - Apache & Rappers Delight Nas - Represent Raekwon - Ice Cream BIGGIE - Warning or Kick in the Door or Ten Crack Commandments....ah so many more Big L's Devil Son or Lost Boyz - René (sorry, but I just love that track), but you'd probably have to take "jeeps, Lex Coups, Bimaz & Benz" or lifestyles of the rich and shameless from them And if you're actually going for the GOAT single's - one that always is forgotten, but was played sooooooooooooo much: Das EFX - The Real HipHop Jeez, there are tons more. I'm disqualified I guess. Ah and I just remembered ...... Funkdoobiest - Dedicated.
  11. that guys awesome. if I were in london I'd join. Gotta see if he'll be at the Byron Bay Blues Festival here in Australia... Cheers for that find!
  12. I'm waiting for steve to lash em out... When I used to play these in clubs, people would go nuts...and I dig Gwen so it's a doubel guilty pleasure for me at least.
  13. Shit. I remember this as well too. He made it after I had been up visiting him and his crew in Ireland if I'm not mistaken. Then like a year or so later I think he quite the scratch game. Totally nuts on the cut. And definitely a major loss of talent for the """""scene"""" - video gaming and booze got the better of him I guess Ryan - post a new phiiiile biatch!!!
  14. OMFG. Crazy shit. Those ahh cuts from chin...my fucking gaaawd! But the funk from Fakser....crazy. I can't make the call. Maybe Fakser because he was a bit more varied with samples, drumming and stuff...I don't know. Crazy.
  15. yeah fucking right...that's just ridiculous.
  16. I agree with broke here 100% and also with you steve. If it eventually filters in to miming the routine, because the sounds are so heavily edited, that it sounds like you're juggling, when all you're doing is a backspin with an occasional baby scratch or something, then it defeats the point. Jon's routine is what truely "new" means...at least in my books. Cheers, O.
  17. I've come to the conclusion that Jon1st, Ruftone and you sirrrrrr, have the better routines. Fly's repeating his patterns over and over again. Better luck next year. Jon1sts online routine is so sick. Just had to mention that again. Totally nuts.
  18. yeah, but broke you should take a look. I commented on this yesteday...it's really weird. It could just be that each time he changes the side, the track continues playing, i.e. insane editing and he's basically backspinning and the track keeps playing kind of thing...he should post the original two tracks so that you know what they sound like..... I agree with vekked's assessment - it's all going a bit nuts with the DVS stuff these days...and I have difficulties following it...so no wonder cash money does too. Harsh being called by cash money though. Fly must feel shit reading that. BTW: With all the editing and stuff - still can't beat craze 99/2000 routines... Edit: So I watched the whole thing again. Don't think there's a third track, eventhough I thought so in the beginning. I think he's totally edited every single fucking second of the track, so that it'll work seemlessly with every change of side...at least he deserves props for doing that. Otherwise...too hectic.
  19. definitely wanking. but remember there was this dude who was wanking online to what he thought was a chick, but it was his mates and he was shoving his finger up the a? might have been something that dark too.
  20. Nice to see you on the forum man. T'is Oli - Broke's mate. Nice cuts man. Maybe just give em a little more time to breath. You've got some crazy skills. Those stabs are ridiculous.
  21. nice work man. that vid is helllllllaaa trippy.
  22. yo falcon1's juggle was really nice. some serious skill in this vid. excellent post. thx.
  23. Shiiiit. Those aaaaah cuts Dopez knocked down were ridiculous. The flow of IQ is really dope too. Tough call. Both insanely good scratchers.
  24. that mobb deep remix is so utterly sick. I still let it fly on my system occasionally.
