This is another excerpt from Tony Prince, probably the most important and confused point... "Products that don't support the DMC Championship will not be excluded - they simply won't have the benefits that Support Sponsors will enjoy." From reading this i gather that you can use ANY mixer u want. Even if VESTAX does not become a sponser of the event, DJS CAN STILL USE VESTAX MIXERS!!!! Prince just states the obvious, being that companys who arnt sponsers just dont enjoy the benefits which those who sponsor do.

Tony Prince, "Without Ortofon there would not have been such high standard of events and their respect for the DJs is reflected in their funding prize money and support for DMC's branches around the world. DJs will be able to use any Ortofon stylus, not just the Q-Bert stylus."

2tall: it has been confirmed by tony prince that u DONT have to use qbert needles. any ortofon needle is fine. this has been confirmed on dmcworld.com. from your responses your biggest issue seems to be the fact that u think dmc are making everyone buy ortofon products. this is business. i think most people wouldnt mind using a ortofon needle if it meant being able to use their own choice of deck and mixer, PLUS win $10k large and a set of golden 12's. shit ill even go as far to say that at least 80% of people would prefer this rather than use a shitty deck/mixer with their own choice of needle and no $10k prize!!!!!!!!!!!! as for the hotel issue, u cant make everyone happy. countrys like US and UK contribute alot to DMC. dmc is huge in these countrys, unlike countrys like singapore, italy, phillipines, greece, austria. its quite obvious why dmc look after the more established countries. shit at least they still get paid airfare and accomadation. all this hating on dmc and yet youve entered year after year????????? just what i was saying before. all this bad talk of them yet the same people still want to talk about them and enter their competions. how can someone realise after a battle that dmc dont have their bests interest at heart when they are actually listening to what dj's have asked for!!!!!!

further to that... people have been whinging for fuckn yearrrrrrs that dmc should change their equipment. so shit, they change it a people still arnt happy?????????????? fuck me dead. in the past, you could A) use ANY needle but had to use a technics 1200 and mixer. NOW B) u have to use a ortofon needle but you can use any mixer and table setup aslong as the manufacturer shows some love. steve: he is saying that u can use any mixer or deck combo as long as that manufacturer is a part of dmc's sponsorship program. i think it would be in vestax's interested to support dmc because most djs will use vestax products anyway. considering the amount of exposure dmc events get, why not. its all good. prince is also saying that u dont neccessarily need to use a qbert cart. basically dmc are saying use any equipment u want but when it comes to needles, u must use a ortofon. i still dont understand why the fuck people are still hating on this so much. i think its a great step forward. all they need to do is get the voting right and maybe shit will be positive. to many fuckn whingers. no matter what u do for someone, there are always sceptics. its the same people that supposedly hate them so much who cant stop talking about them. me personally, if i dislike something, ill just stay the fuck away from it all together.

hey i was wandering, with this fader on the sharpest cut setting (i presume that would be with the rotary dials all the way in), what type of click do u get? is it like a vestax metallic click, or say a rane plasticky click? i like faders that have a little bit of a bounce. dub seven & liam : so an ac convertor plugs into the ciggy lighter, then on the other end of that the qfo power lead with plug into that? right? then get a fm modulator (same thing you use to run your ipod through your radio) and plug the rcas into that for the sound. is that right guys? thanks for your help so far guys.

hey i was wandering how i can get my qfo in my car to run through my system? its sounds something like a ricer would do but i wanna do it it would be good for camping and shit. or going away, u know the deal. im just thinking about the voltage side of things? and how to get a "line in" from my head deck? i dont think u can get a cigeratte adapter for a qfo can u? its like 240 volts or some shit. any rice heads know how i can do this? what parts do i need to buy?

if its not moving smoothly across the rails, the rails have been bent or not put in straight. it happend to my pcv. i cleaned in, while i was taking the rails out i must of bent them, now it feels weird when i slide the fader across. but shit, i got a 56 now
