to be honest, my knowledge of reggae isnt up to much but iv got a friend who's well into it...... obviously you cant go wrong with king tubby, scientist and lee perry and marley for those late night summer smoke sessions err....jimmy cliff and peter tosh and check out anything on shortkuts blunted with a beat junkie.....iv got a few compilation records if you want me to upload anything

i was thinking about a track that sublime and pharcyde did together........iv got a feelin it was a cover of summertime.....AARRGH this is gona do my head in if i cant remember it!!.....i had the video of it but the quality was rubbish

Anything off the brand new heavies - heavy rhyme experience....and anything by sublime, 'specially that track with pharcyde....but i forgot the name of it and some reggae!! cant believe that hasnt got mentioned

nice stuff.....thats a crazy style youv got on the fresh sample, i cant work out how you were doin that.......it would be more interesting if you switched up your techniques though

My stanton's upfaders snapped off so i just use it to wire my mini discs and cd player in.......i keep my records under the table as you can see, its a bit of a mess but thats the way aaha aaha i like it

If it was me, i'd go with the final skratch......simply because you can still use your cd's (even if it means taking the time to rip them all) and you get to keep that tasty vinyl feeling...needle drops and all a quick question for anyone who knows....can you still use normal records with final skratch hooked up??

is your fader the one that came with the mixer.....i gota 6f aswel but i wouldnt say the fader was well light.....you couldnt tilt the mixer and make it drop but its definately smoother than alot of vestax faders iv tried

i found 2 click flares hardest so far and trying to do combinations with forward 1 click flares.........i recon its pretty easy just to sit down for a couple of weeks and get hardcore on learning how to do a skratch but to actually drop it into combos and flows comes with loads more practice does anyone else find it harder to skratch to slow beats? iv been practicing more with slower stuff and my skratches are starting to feel more tight and precise

I got a focus fader when i got my sk6f but it was a peice of crap. it would stick to the sides of the mixer when you tried to skratch. i dunno if it was v1 or v2 but i definately recommend gettin a P&G coz theyr without doubt the bomb-digy!!

fair enough i figure it was old......my problem is i dont really know any other skratch djs so i dunno whats old or new.........

yeh that sounded tasty.....im trying to get into making tracks but dont really know how to go about putting them together on a computer...all iv got is 2 minidisc players to multilayer skratches is there any other good programs to use apart from cool edit?

I skratch regular but if i skratch on the up faders i can only do it if theyr in hamster....as in the cut off point is at the bottom and not nearer the top i tried reversing it so that it was the same as the cross fader but that feels unatural aswel anyway...what i was gona ask was if anyone thought that juggling sounded better if you put more curve on the fader than just having it cut?

I dont know much bout time signatues but if u wanna hear something interesting try and download an album by Planet X called Moon Babies i dont really know how to explain it but i can say that they completely destroy any idea of what you thought was possible for a band to do with time signatures
