  1. Boom headshot! Congrats on the win Mike!.
  2. This has now almost reached 100 downloads! I can honestly say I really wasn't expecting that for a bunch of tracks made from the remnants of a DV beat battle. Thanks to everyone who's grabbed a copy over the last couple of months and for supporting the release. Sincerely, it means a lot.
  3. 1. take the jumper off the fucking snare for the video. You're miming so at least make it look less stupid. 2. Todd Rundgren's talent is really slipping. Lol.. check out the girl walking past texting on her phone at 02.25 completely oblivious to what's going on hahaha. People can be mean and say what they like about the video but Colonel Gaddafi sure is one hell of a vocalist!...
  4. Hahaha. Is there a worse Rock music video than this pile of sonic dogshit? In later years Warrant vocalist Jani Lane was so utterly ashamed and embarrassed by this 3 minute hairspray party Rock monstrosity he drank himself into an early grave and I can't say that I really blame him tbh.. Not exactly popular but holy fucking shit this is excruciatingly bad..the singers face looks like a 3 week old melted cake decoration..
  5. 1- yep agreed...they also appear to have an invisible drummer, a feat which is almost nearly as impressive as Susanah Hoffs truly magnificent arse .. not to mention extremely lucky too if you've had to deal with as many fucking drummers as I have. 2-People did a lot of cocaine in the 1980's so this probably seemed like a good idea at the time.. 3- They're all on the wrong drugs and in the wrong environment, basically.. i once took the correct ones and Walked Like An Egyptian for 3 days solid around the site of the Stonehenge Festival in Wiltshire no problem whatsoever plus the song hadn't even been written then so do I win a prize? Anyway, talking of absolutely terrible music videos check out this one for Van Halens cover of Oh,Pretty Woman from 1982.. Its got dwarves,a transvestite and David Lee Roth doing his best Freddie Starr impersonation.. It's more bourbon than brains, essentialy. Here's the only version I could find where the vocals (if you can actually call them that) aren't obscured. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2295193320806568&id=1600131936716213&refsrc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F&_rdr
  6. Hmm . You're also a drummer aren't you? ...
  7. Bwahaha!.. We talked about them here ages ago Dirk... seem to recall a separate thread where you entered the raffle for the chance to win one a while ago too. http://www.digitalvertigo.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=38742&p=405893
  8. Yeah..Its a Hand Pan drum called a Hang or sometimes pronounced Haang made from carbon steel.. There's 9 notes to the drums design, 1 center note and 8 tone fields, D3/ A3/ C4/ D4/ E4/ F4/ G4/ A4/C5. Tonally the sound is beautiful..really deep and resonant and these things are sturdy too.. It weighs in at around 11 lbs or so.
  9. This is not technically mine.. What happens is me and my mate Woody have these drunken conversations about buying mad shit we like the look of just for a laugh and occasionally Woody, who's blessed with more money than sense- but very logical inebriated wisdom hehe, will then decide to order it on his credit card. Inevitably what he often ends up getting then stays round at my house for the next 5 years for some strange reason . Obviously he can take this thing back anytime he wants but for now it's just 'Haanging' around here... It's massive and sounds fucking awesome too btw!.
  10. Really like the the dub style vibes to this dude, I've got it bumping hard in the kitchen as I type ...super nice stuff as usual,Broma!
  11. ^^^^ Hahaha..What a fucking drongo.. Pity it wasn't fatal..
  12. Like one of the portable ones? I have one of these. I'm gutted it's stopped working but it's one of the pieces of gear I like using the most and it's had a good run for the last 20 years I suppose.. I'm looking around for a replacement and hopefully I'll find another one pretty soon.
  13. Yeah It's s a pretty neat invention and worth the £15 cost..i got it on a special offer through Amazon as they're usually double that price. Hehe.. i lose picks constantly which is why I wanted one of these. I was ordering some really nice quality picks online with a little rubber grip on them which were great but pretty expensive..Ilost at least 10 of em' so decided to get the PickMaster to save the hassle of having to keep replacing them all the time. The quality of the picks you get using the PickMaster isn't as good as the type I'd normally use but they're perfectly fine for what I need as most of the time I tend to just play fingerstyle on the acoustic guitar anyway. That dragon suit sounds rad though! ..
  14. If i'm remembering this correctly I think there was a small limited run of the og 808s that came out slightly before or just after the EX version which used the translucent plastic casings instead of the standard black ones, although I honestly don't recall ever seeing another one like it since. This particular 808 was the second or even the third model I got sent from Roland as id had loads of issues with the original sampler I bought which was still under warranty at the time.
  15. The PickMaster. DIY at its finest, ,probably.. Step 1 Step 2 Step 3
  16. I'm trying to find another Mini Disc recorder as mine finally stopped working a couple of weeks ago after 20 years. Ive got a shedload of discs and probably a few blanks or ones I could send you when I've found another machine I can check them on. I actually feel a bit bereft without my MD player cause I record all my own stuff to there too and I've got a shit ton of breaks and samples stored on the discs.
  17. I ran this test on my old Roland SP 808 which hasn't worked properly for years after a dude on another site suggested it as it turns out we were experiencing the same issue with the machines. Everything that has a backlight on the sampler was illuminated every time I switched the power on before and the screen just displayed squiggly lines and wouldn't boot up the Roland SP 808 and groove sampler Ver 1. 0 graphics. The guy sent me this link to try and solve the problem although he said it hadn't worked for him unfortunately so I wasnt very hopeful I'd have much luck either. http://www.angelfire.com/ca/wicket/tipsandtricks.htm It cleared up everything on the machine and it now looks like this again! I don't have a working zip drive for this sampler anymore unfortunately so I can't try to implement the next stage of the process which allows me to save the operating system from a 808EX, and to update the original SP-808.but im a lot more optomistic about the possibility of getting this thing up and running again than before...its a very powerful piece of sampling gear with a brilliant set of FX and a built in 4 channel digital multi track recorder (when it actually works correctly) Wish me luck fellas.
  18. Like this dope DJ Revolution mix posted recently. http://www.digitalvertigo.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=41269 N.B. The search function is your friend here on D.V.
  19. Dang! Dope as always..this is very nice indeed..
  20. Yeah I agree with you there ..I think JM is a good example when it comes to over inflated prices where average records are concerned but a good majority of the people who buy these records on Manships weekly auctions are just as much of the problem too. Lots of these guys are of retirement age, have very deep pockets and are blessed with a disposable income and will think nothing of paying 2 or 3 times the actual value of the music just to have the bragging rights of ownership it seems. Its a bone of contention to a lot of genuine collectors I know.. Its certainly moaned about on a daily basis by the folks who frequent the Northern Soul forums where the vast majority of these and other records are now way out of their league in terms of the prices being commanded for original vinyl copies irregardless of the actual quality of the music itself on the recordings.
  21. Latest video from the master! Let him mend your ringcracks..
  22. Bushwick Bill of Geto Boys has passed away aged 52 from pancreatic cancer. RIP https://www.theguardian.com/music/2019/jun/10/bushwick-bill-rapper-with-geto-boys-dies-aged-52
  23.
