There was someone who claimed to be Dooms cousin,they posted online that he'd died from an embolism. The posts now apparently been deleted. I can't even remember where I read about this now but it was literally just a few days ago. Like Steve has mentioned, theres just been a lot of speculation but definitely no absolute confirmation about the details of his passing yet as far as I know .

Yeah,all SP-404 O.G. played live..sometimes I use the O.G. and the 404 SX together if I need to use more samples for a particular track or live recording. Always wanted an MPC of some description and will probably end up getting one eventually at some point..both the MPC Live and X models look absolutely terrific. There's a MPC 2000 I could use at the moment that's lying around at my mums place along with some other gear stored there plus the SP-303 which i'll use in resampling drums from the 404s for some extra crunch ,I've had a little mess around with the 2000 but not enough to get to grips with it fully yet though.

When I still had the majority of my vinyl everything was stored by genre. Breaks / DJ Tools :Rock/ Pop : Jazz / Fusion : Funk , Reggae, Hip Hop,Dance and Electronica etcetera all separate and alphabetical . The only records I ever kept together were 12 inch and 45 rpm singles but again by genre and in alphabetical order. I can't cope with a disorganised vinyl collection ..you'll just spend more time looking for things than you do playing the damn records . Have a couple of friends who have absolutely amazing collections but are an absolute mess with stuff everywhere except where it should be hehe.

Legendary Jazz and Fusion musician Chick Corea has passed away aged 79 from a rare form of cancer. RIP. Corea was a true master of the keyboards and musical innovation . Return To Forever are probably just about my biggest influence when it comes to making my own music and in my opinion the greatest Jazz Fusion band of all time. A thing of pure beauty..like a bird in flight.

Wow.. 22 years.. I didnt pick up the guitar again for around 5 years or so after 2010..i stopped playing music altogether after Dee passed away as I just couldn't face it at the time. We'd always jammed in some capacity whether it was with guitars and drums or decks, keyboards, samplers and stuff. It took me ages to get my chops back too.. Its surprising how much you can actually forget, even the real simple stuff, and like yourself, I've been playing guitar since my early teens. Glad you're getting back into it Sav, I just play acoustics now but I've got an old Sunn Mustang in bits that I'll eventually put back together at some stage, also think there's an Ibanez RG 750 body and neck kicking around at my Mums place that'd be nice to have working again. So yeah.. I'll see you over in the shredding thread in another 5 years time possibly! hehe.
