Lol that's awesome. Thinking about the actual mod side of it. How close to a Rane style system are those optical mouse hacks? I was thinking about trying it (never get round to anything though) but was wondering about how similar a jog wheel is in terms of sending the midi signal to tell the software that the 'deck' is moving compared with a DVS signal. I have seen people 'scratch' with the optical mouse hacks which is midi I think. How far from DVS is midi? In fact after the N2it lawsuit few things happened to dvs roadmap. Afaik (and probably missing some info or just forgotten it) - After NI / stanton split N2it claim NI was stealing its intellectual property in timecode terms. - N2it won and NI must pay them 50$ for each license (that update if you remember) - NI gone mk2 (collateral damage about doubled resolution will require its own movie) - N2it gone after M-audio Torq so Ms. Pinky as licensing technology. - University paper with prior art to N2it was found so some N2it patents were affected. - Someone put some cash and to be clear Im still trying to figure what really happened. - M-Audio kill syncroscience, released Torq2 and killed it few days later. - Timecode technology died a bit. Glad to see in the end all RME lovers. I miss mine but being so gay with iOS devices (and poor like rat at the same time in the worst paradox perfect for memeizing myself) I can’t afford anything like that ATM. Said that all the typical RME superb arguments put in my memes have been said at this topic again and are still valid and truth. From Alien drivers to MOTU wars back in the day (now apogee) or RMEverywhere which is/was common also in forums and I don’t want to lose because it comes with lot of useful knowledge like this topic even started as Joke (respectfully one of course) but derailed into tech talk. Inspired by chat in other thread. I’m considering export them into gearslutz due I think we aren’t alone in the RME love. I loved my hammerfall+adat interface 15 years ago and I still have great memories about collecting catalogs from the biggest store in my area reading everything about the different RME families (hammerfall, pcmcia...) and visiting friends with macs and motu etc. In fact I found funny the meme build around that topic but understood your passion very deeply... good old memories <3

Videoscratching in iOS? With timecode? I didn’t see anyone... the nearest is djay pro/vjay with a controller. It could be possible to cook a hacked solution but it will involve some material and time. Maybe is best to go for the vdj route with win10 tablet?
