  1. Hi Aggressiva! I'm Dubbylabby Congrats for the work!! Keep us updated!
  2. From the recent teaser Pioneer done at social networks 3 days ago someone has leaked a picture. Motorized platters and screens like technics sldz1200 but 7”.
  3. Haks and Nuos are still available at wallapop nowadays. Nuo 2.0 even new from some dj shops. If someone needs spanish contact to find/test wallapop ones just say it.
  4. Another superOem is the akiyama acura. Looks like the american audio or the reloops. These are availabe at wallapop time to time around 200€. About cdx, check the specific thread and possible drawbacks. What about X2? These pop up at wallapop too with 250-300€ range (there’s oje from ibiza at this moment includding flightcase for 250€) and you have vest of two worlds and the chance to upgrade it into something more modern an amazing… https://www.instagram.com/p/CQDg9Xxlafh/?utm_medium=copy_link https://www.instagram.com/p/CQDiAZ7ll2A/?utm_medium=copy_link This guy is adapting sc1000 into cdx as I pointed long ago at that topic so you an get something better than HDX or twelve since it plays audio files by itself from pendrive… Other options coming to my mind could be denon 3700 but these are over 250€ since they have the pendrive option by default I wonder.
  5. https://themidimaniac.com/roland-sp-808-the-magic-cf-drive/
  6. But afaik the only reader working with it is the blue mpc2000 hot swap blablah or the project of someone (trying to crowdfunding first and doing it as kit later) of new adaptor board… or the A6 conversion? I understood you didn’t need it on hurry but not what option you are going to adapt. It’s just curiosity since Roland made a weirdo using zips as ram in these machines and not documenting anywhere so nerds could fix that flaw design and give the sp the proper love it deserves. Blue mpc2000 drive units are more expensive at mpcparts store than mpc2000 itself lol. Frikin’ speculative IMO…
  7. Did the project to make that happen get successul? Or you are planning to buy the mpc2000 blue overexpensive adaptor? Roland should remake this machine with modern technology but Roland can’t release anything with modern technology even for their release dates looool People complaining about screens on Mc101/707 and verselab… hahaha.
  8. I want to left this for record. I seen a page back in the day (since my name is on it) but never get the full document until today. https://www.hypermagazine.ch/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/2015/09/ramon.mathis.pdf I should translate that almost into english… spanish some day lol ah! Don’t forget to check the new proposal from sxratch team (not the same as skrat.ch). Www.sxratch.com https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCS4W_KVRc0tQcRQht16EhLQ I’m not affiliated to them (I’m not sure about who is behind) but I just don’t care and I give my support to them. Almost the tool seems reaching the public and “mainstream scratchers” (if that makes sense somehow as a concept). cheers!
  9. It lacks some components but maybe it could work. Service manual is out there at links so take a look by yourself if you want to explore that route but IMO it will be easier to adapt SC1000 as I said in my previous post.
  10. @Deft I try to keep myself polite at forums because I never know the mood just from text xD Anyways the options are: Serato Remote as @jeljms pointed. Surface like tablet (Dj Lyrical B smoking kutz has a nice setup based on Fujitsu Q) https://www.instagram.com/p/CMVMG8FFkMj/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Djay Pro app (the video I posted) Wait for DjPlayer pro to add support (it's the nearest to Serato as app in iPad/iPhone) Custom solution based on Raspberry Pi, Rasteri Sc1000 or FPGA like the mad russian and the technics DVS.
  11. I'm not sure if it's a joke due the price of the Rane One, regular macbook prices and the fact it doesn't require the latest iPhone/iPad to run (but maybe one of these for the realtime spleet stem separation) but if not... sorry to say that it will come someday but maybe too late. Split separation in stems maybe could never arrive to android counterpart chips to Apple silicon or maybe yes... too dedicated technology and too much fragmentation. If Android can't get proper audiomidi and standarization... IDK... Apple silicon chips are going to skyrocket what these devices will do in the next future and Android will need to push even more to be on par (after they got proper audiomidi etc) but there's hope. Almost apps like Koala work for android so... my bet is "late" but "someday". Rumours pointing about new iPad pro running Logic this Q2, which is more than possible if Apple wants since M1 chip on new macbooks it's just an improvement over the latest iPad pro chip (which was the base for the Mac Mini SDK for developers) https://www.theverge.com/2020/6/22/21299275/apple-mac-mini-developer-transition-kit-silicon-chip-wwdc-2020 https://www.musicradar.com/news/apples-new-ipad-pro-could-have-a-chip-as-powerful-as-the-macs-m1-so-does-this-mean-that-an-ipad-version-of-logic-pro-is-coming-too OT end.
  12. It could be easier to adapt the Sc1000 hardware into it IMHO.
  13. Also my bandcamp for anyone intested. I hope you are all safe and well. https://dubbylabby.bandcamp.com
  14. Hi, I visit very rarely the forum but I dig into the old copy of the drive I had and found some documents from diverse sources (Rasteri being one of them) about the CDX. https://www.dropbox.com/s/003l82tra216j9x/cdx.zip?dl=0 I uploaded to dropbox so anyone can download them. Hope it helps. -m!
  15. Hi, I was looking the video build log of the sc1000 at youtube (I've seen it many times but I still not pull the trigger because smd it's out of my skill and prices for ready units are a bit step for my wallet) when I found in the comments someone asking about motorized sc1000 (an idea that I also wonder as a substitute for cdx, denons and so even with belt drive) when Andy pointed to the S4mk3 jogs as inspiration. I answered there and pointed to here so I can share some pictures an user gently shared with me. I can't find the OG video but this other has even more details: https://youtu.be/YZ6Kqpd5028?t=513 Hope these help others in their quest! (I was mostly out of any turntablism related project but sometimes it hurts me until drove my nuts so I need to dig once again to find the ultimate (cheapo) solution for scraaaaaaaaaatch...ing which makes me ill...) :wink: Cheers!
  16. I will love to get the motors but with covid it will be mission impossible makes them arrive to spain... Btw I should reach you at Abforums Turntablist
  17. I will recommend also Stagelight: It has Android and Windows versions and recently iOS/macOS.
  18. Happy to see you like it. That OBS setup is more for learning than teaching (teaching myself?) but I plan to do something similar for iPad producing with BlocsWave, Stagelight, Garageband... and maybe for live gigging tools. I need to test first before record tutorial series since I want to teach what I have confirmed by myself is worth. ATM iOS still seems unreliable for that purpose so maybe I end buying a rc505 or similar, pointing to Stagelight or Ableton... IDK but just proved tools. @Flexinoodle Sorry to hear those bad experiences. Mine is through audiobus forums and I learnt how to express myself for certain expected feedback which most of the time means directly no express my ideas or bugs at all and just look elsewhere. My Kymatica dev experience was more in the mood which Pete described but I never push him so hard neither. iOS development are muddy waters lately IMO due to all the changes seems being running under the surface (lol) related to Apple strategies and hardware improvements... so expect more shitty relative performance than iPhone4s era and lets hope for some true improvements (includding bugfixing and competition) for the 2019. I use very few apps lately and never outside studio environment where I can repeat my work when iOS wrecks itself for non logical reason (like GUI cpu priorization or similar). I will end buying a hardware sampler in some moment, I can feel it...
  19. I gone mad with black friday before week... I ended buying lots of things... xD iOS apps: Stagelight, Neo soul keys studio and bassalicious, both on sale. mac apps: Stagelight ( bought this first and iOS using credits from this. I still have some credits...). Considering some other apps for screen/iPad capture... Pretty Simple Music Neosoul keyboard tutorials from basic to intermediate and some advanced. I started with the basic and some discount, then a mail hit me with 50% in next purchase... lol I ended buying a lot! Studiologic numa compact 2 for 300€ second hand but from a very careful guy. It’s like new near half price (hoorray) Logitech 920c HD webcam and k300 bt keyboard both at reduced price (52€/39€) Some minor gadgets from Amazon to finish my bedroom videoset. Bonus: a friend gift me a cheapo newer microphone with fantom psu due he bought a blue yeti. Now some pics: https://instagram.com/p/BqkX4AeAgyb https://instagram.com/p/BqiZnr1AnGk :}
  20. My mini4 is aging well... if I should buy something nowadays I will go for iPad 2018(?) (The one with pencil but not pro) even with the size not being my cup of tea... but more powerful and the pencil could make a difference. Obviously having the mini4 I ended going for macmini late 2012 full and still giggling my head around about how to deal with all of this in live environment or just set a home videocasting as stage... In fact, this black friday I probably will go rear some lights and hd cam recorder...
