  1. My acappella group does "Uptown Girl" at every show. Shit's hella swell.
  2. LOL more than 90% of the entries need to heed this... but a lot of them are using it as an arena to get some critiques. Peep the hotness (sheeeeeit) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-lTa4qJWFU Yo, why you dissing me man? Those were my homeboy's tables because mine are getting new feet put on em.
  3. I've found a handful of stuff over the years. I'll have to pull the wax though to remember. I know I have the "when you're smiling" bit. It's off a soundtrack. He samples either Buckner and Garcia or the Namco Video Game Music LP (pacman sounds) for F U Pacman. He samples the We Will Rock You Drums on Murder Factory. The Beck sample referred to earlier (I'm an alien . . .) is either on Stereopathetic Soulmanure or a Western Harvest Feild By Moonlight, I can't remember which. If it's Western Harvest that's pretty deep digs. And yeah, he samples all types of shit off the "Ghost Weed" skits on De La's AOI (niggas still fussin, etc. etc. etc.) If you pick up Inspiration Information there's lots of stuff on that. http://www.discogs.com/D-Styles-Inspiration-Information/release/1356162 But yo, anybody else have Dave's very first record? http://www.discogs.com/DJ-Gee-Swift-The-Unbelievable-Groove/release/4697181 Unlike the second record he did with Gee Swift, he has some scratching on this first one.
  4. Yeah mang. That's why if you warm up for a 15 minutes or so you can usually get through that.
  5. I've been doing the customized shoes lately. You can get New Balance 993s and Adidas Gazelles
  6. I still check Honna's site on the reg. It's been cracking for a long long time. I also remember African from the Asis site.
  7. I live in VA. I was visiting a homey of mine in Eugene Oregon when I met up with them though. Back in the days when meeting up with someone from the Internet was strictly for weirdos (and always a bit awkward) *AHEM*... Yeah, you don't want Mustache Styles showing up at your place at 3:00 am with his weird Aunt trying to catch one.
  8. I just want a looper that combines the best features of a few different models. Separate input and master effects. 4-6 channels (with volume faders) that are ACTUALLY independent of each other so they can be different length loops. Ability to overdub active channels to a free channel (to free up channels for additional loops). MIDI master/slave clock capability. Tap and dial bpm options. Desk top unit but has a usable and rugged footswitch. Simple "Bar" system like the KP3 but a maximum of 24 bar sample length instead of 16 like the KP3. Option to quantize loops if desired (that actually works unlike a lot of Boss gear). Flashy lights. Maybe some titties. word up. Also, three words "Lazers man, . . . . Lazers"
  9. I actually cut with him and Celly in person at Celly's parent's house. It was really dope in a weird way. I was probably pushing 30 and those dudes were still in high school. I knew Sam could cut because of hearing him on D's board so I was like "fuck it." When I got there he had his folk's dining room table up on books to elevate it up. He had just gotten back from cutting with D-Styles (A-Track 2, the sequel) and had beat files from D and shit. Connah might have even been younger. They were real well grounded, laid back, easy going dudes. I chatted Jebo up on the phone but he had some lame excuse or something. Probably something like Sir Mixalot was over at his house and clogged up the toilet.
  10. I run into Jeebus on youtube every once in a while. I talked to him on the phone when I was up Oregon one time and cut it up with Celcius and Dekoi. Those guys are killing it now. Jeebo is a family man. I haven't heard from Megacuts since the old SES board. He was actually kind of smooth on the cut but could never recover from Roc Raida pouring power aid on him I really wonder what's up with Hentsix (and Giant for that matter). Hentsix really had a lot of artistic talent though. He made everything he did seem really easy. I still listen to their disc every once in a while. They made some good music. He lost a girlfriend in a car accident and I never really saw him around online much after that. I'm sure he's doing some crazy shit right about now though. nice to know celcius is still cutting, i'd like to hear how he has progressed. yeah hensix is really talented dude his graphic design was top notch. i remember your name too man glad to see your still around these forums too. you and jeebus were always hilarious. thanks for the update i hope these cats will pop back up around these parts some day. Yeah, good times. Here's Celcius https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiyMtUm4Cs4 Here's Connah Jay (who used to go by Dekoi on D's board) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9DiUZNc6eM

  12. I liked the Russian dude's set too. It built up nicely. Select is my homey and we get up and session every once in a while. First time I went over to his crib he was using WAAAAY more energy than me. I was like "damn, I need to try harder". Anywho, dude has never been much into juggling but has picked it up in the last few years. He's beast on the cut. Does all this old school type power shit that I can never figure out how he gets it to sound that way.
