my first album on vinyl with dope cuts on. I'd say it really helped me being able to squeeze the pin on my pitchless goodmans turntables from index really helped me as I could work the cuts out by ear more easily while played slowly. I also borrowed heavily from 2 live crew as nasty as they wanna be on vinyl as well. Some days I get a bit bored stood trying 6clk knuckle popping forearm destroying stuff and just jump on the right deck and get all joe Cooley for a while 🙂🙂🙂
Started 2 click orbiting on the right deck not long back as well so pretty chuffed bout that as well🙂

Similar thing with pinched 3 clk and wrist 3 clk eversoslightly different sounding. I think the pinched 3 clk has a d dd. sound and wrist is more d d d
I bin do in the pinched style lately, I think jam wrist flicks em and they sound rapid. We both wrist flik our orbits but I tend to pinch em at slower speeds.
I remember the early days when peeps used to do a orbit with a really wide gate bit like a crabs claw sort of grip. They sound funky and flarey even more so on a old skool fader.
In my mind a twiddle is a twiddle and an orbit is a wrist flicked double flare there and back. In my early days my crabs and twiddls were both what I considered to be closed fader scratches.

It's definitely something that gets better with experience and as your confidence in your own ability improves. I find doing long deep breaths before you start helps too.
Top advice from Jon. Try and fill your lungs up as far as they'll go then let it out slow. After about three of them your cool.
Also helpful if u ever get in a scuffle and find little brown turtles breakdancing in ya shreddies, or other stressful situations like a driving test or telling your lass you give her chlamydia.

Cheers dub. I was planning to do a scratchafon style entry with all the cuts and combos I know but I kept getting stressed out so I whent with a general idea to the vid
1 do some lazy arse cuts on the right deck whilst not paying attention
2 eat a chip butty and put some spice on ( I was going to use a yoshi sample from a you tube tutorial saying "spice it up" as well which I binned incase he didn't approve) I was even thinking of spinning up behind the decks table with our lasses wig done in a ponytail
3 come with a ton of bad ass cuts on the left deck
With spice power.
In the end I binned half my plans which included some phrasing and some stabs trannys etc and just freestyled the cuts.
I realised after watching it that most peeps who watch it might actually think I cut like that for real and turn it of after ten seconds. Then I thought shit all the other competitors have laid down dope skills and mine is a bit parlour trick show pony shit. But I watched veks interview with Jon other night and they said they get stressed out when recording and I was mega stressed so I thought fuck it I'm just gonna have fun with it.
My next vid expect laggy bands a pool cue and a Roy chubby brown hat💥

Kinda keeps a bit of suspense for deadline day, not only that but now I've seen si's dubs and mo's I'm thinking wow I can't come close to that which kinda makes the whole process a bit more of an exhibition and not a battle for me. Not saying I have aspirations of toppling king Erick from the throne but a bit of friendly competition is cool.
