  1. I used to get 2.5ms on tsp1. Got tsp2 and a contour now the best I get is nearly 10. I read somewhere recently vdj8 is supposedly quicker. Any one trialled it at all ??
  2. Ive been looking at similar lappys on e bay for yonks now (ex buisness lease) debating if they are any good. Constantly reading forums, peeps opinons n wot not. To be honest its a utter minefield of conflicting info thats been boxin mi head for way too long. But you sir have just released me from my turmoil.am gunna get me one of those lenovos and then am gunna peg ma toshiba- nearly 10ms lappy with the god dam apple sticker on outta ma car windeh at 120mph and see if that speeds up the latency.

  6. Pisses me right of not having ultra pitch. Shame its already a known technique. Thanks for not sinking my battleship rasteri.suppose it aint a bad tip for newbies. Oh well did I tell u I invented the flair scratch as well? Jokin But not really.
  7. I have a tip for all you farmers (traktor users) I use this for classic house sets but I suppose it will work with anything with a bit of key lock. I cant recall another dj doing it but if they have fair play. I came up with the idea after watchin a vid on how to make samples land where u want on a rekkid. It involved ableton and warping and a load of other shite I cant be arsed with. So heres my take on it. 1 load a track into deck a bpm say 128 approx 2 move the pitch till u get 133.33 3make sure sync is enabled in both traks. 4 load same track into deck b while vinyl is playin and make sure pitch is at zero ( pitch lock would be advantageous) 5 zero the pitch on deck a and reload the track with vinyl playing. 6 use cue points to set beat 1 at 12 o clock position on both decks. 7 youve done it you now have a house track on both decks with beats 1 2 3 and 4 set at 12 3 6 and 9 oclock. Great for mixing juggling whatever. This enables u to make battle records from any trak quick enuf on the fly. Its probably been done before?? But seeing as I dreamed it up myself im calling it the time warp technique. Any feedback would be appreciated and if its been done before go easy on me ffs !!!

  9. Justin time from hull mighty Yorkshire. Started off like most baby scratching on a hifi. Pause button sampling n'all that. First seven inches was trio da da da. A lad who lived with us started popping to it in our living room and then I was hooked. Painted a couple of goodmans record players iluminous yellow with a realistic mixer at 13. Managed to get 2 live crew album and was instantly inspired by mr mix. Spent the next few years thinking I was unstoppable chirping stabbing and repeating on the right deck. Got soundlab belt drives bout 15-16. And saw a local dj fast t transforming on the left at under 18s with dune too much. Bought a gemini mixer with line switches on and started on the right.got some gemini belt drives bout 17 shite as well and 1210s at 22. Got a technics mixer a year or so later and thats when my skill set took a leap forward. Started crabbing and flairing soon after. Technics died after 14000 faders later and I got a 05. Which honestly pushed me back and I lost my love for scratch. Been club djing mixing classic house for the last 12 years or so (sling a few chirps in laughin) when recently treat myself to a dif1s. Another leap forward. In the last few month ive picked up prizms waves autobahns and boomerangs. Ive noticed everyone ranting on about d styles flow. Which probably suits me seeing as I spent millenia trying to master the older cuts. Now I read this back checking for spelking mistakes it becomes apparent that my journey as a dj has mainly been pushed or pulled by technology/budget. Unlike some of the posh boys whos mams bought em 1210s at fifteen ive had to develop in a different way. In hindsight I wouldnt change my years on belt drivez cos if u can chirp and mix on them it gives u a different perspective on record controll. What I can say though is ive fell back into bed with scratch and for that im happy love u loads mini innofader
  10. Cant be any good for our knuckles and fingers. Think ill sue q Bert and co when my fingers start freezing at 50!
