  1. Wow, nice stuff man! Where you get the MS-20? Ebay? About the M-Audio ting, I've never had a problem with them, although the usb drivers for the trigger finger were a bit gash. Never had a problem with the soundcards though (I've owned a 24/96 and a delta 10/10). Motu gear is supposed to be good, I've never used an 896 but I have used an 828 and it worked fine. They are quite pricey though. Yeah the Macbooks look good, I wouldn't mind picking one up myself. My computer is literally on it's last legs. I think its burned out about 84 power supply's since I've had it.
  2. If you only need two ins I'd go for an M Audio 24/96, you can get them for about 60 quid and they are pretty good cards IMO. What synths you got by the way?
  3. BTW if your synths have a CV input you can get a CV to MIDI converter for a reasonable price and control your synths via MIDI. You'll still need to record them though if you want to record any of your tracks, how many inputs do you need on your soundcard?
  4. Download cracks of all of them and see which one you like best before shelling out any money.
  5. If you're talking about digital levels never go over 0db, on your DJ mixer you have a bit more headroom so it can be in the yellow or even peaking slightly in the red. Sometimes I pre-EQ samples a bit if I know I don't want the bass on a certain bit or whatever, probably not the best idea though cos on most scratch mixers the EQs are shit. I probably wouldn't record it any lower than -6db.
  6. Thank god they got rid of the xskey, what a pain in the nuts that was. Looks dope.
  7. Fucking hell, go on stig. The videos are dope.
  8. Ricardo Flurze. Hows life?

  9. I still buy records regularly, mostly cheap ones from second hand shops.
  10. Anytime mate. Just hit me up on the myspazz or PM me on here. Just looking through my profile and saw this topic, sorry for the late reply. Payce.
  11. Great beat, I might try and add some synthy bits, I'll probably ruin it but I'll have a go. Dissonance you made it sound like it had been professionally mastered or some shit, dopeness.
  12. Thats the best advice I've heard this year. I do still scratch really I was just talking shit, I've been getting back into it since I fixed my crossfader. I'm just too lazy to put in the 3+ hours a day practice it takes to get good.
  13. This is a classic, the interviewer loses it big time at the end.
  14. Don't think you have to beatmatch everything, sometimes even if 2 records are the same bpm they will still sound shit beatmatched, sometimes just dropping it in works wonders. Feel it out.
  15. I don't scratch anymore. I'm bored of it and I was shit anyway. The end.
  16. Young jeezy is good, mannie fresh kills it on the beats he makes for him. I like the clipse, lil wayne, e40, keak da sneak and all that shit.
  17. I like smooth b and guru, any mc over shit beats will sound shit, its all about the beats for me.
  18. http://www.looknohands.com/chordhouse/piano/ Lots of chords and scales on there.
  19. yeah ableton does that too, its saved me a few times. i was messing about with the mpc program editor on my pc a while ago and i guess i clicked the wrong button on it because it corrupted my hard disk and i lost 100 gb worth of stuff, gutted.
  20. Dont really like the sample and the drums sound flat. Secret service is the best one, although the kick drum sounds canny distorted. Are you sampling your drums or using a drum machine?
  21. Yes it has the switch under the faceplate, the sharpest curve cuts out at around 7 or 8.
  22. I just listen and decide if it sounds good or not.
  23. Aaah is the easiest sound to scratch. I cant scratch any other sounds.
