  1. I want to buy one of that Mixfaders.

    http://www.themixfader.com/

I see a lot of DJs on youtube and facebook scratching with the Mixfader and portable turntables and the cuts are really nice and clean.

Who has experience with that here on DV???

What iPad can I use for scratching with timecode vinyl with the edjing scratch app???

    Are all iPad models possible???

    What about the latency???

    Thanks for some replies.

  2. Here is a closeup of the Pinouts for the Focus Fader v1.0.

The OS2 (Micro Focus Fader) will most likely just drop in the slot since it was made to

fit in place of a toggle switch.

The Screw holes on the OS2 match those on a Toggle so

you can also swap the plate if need be...

You can also use a Regular size Fader Cap on the OS2's if you want to rock some a Cool Cap,Vestax,Stanton etc..

It looks like Numark made it pretty mod friendly this time around, that was one of the things that also

helped the 05pro. Real Fresh Shtuff...

OK I have the focus fader v1 and I have the OS2 switches at home.

Is it possible to connect the focus fader or the OS2 switches without any other elctronic stuff to the PT01???

Can I connect the cables from the Numark PT01 switch to the focus fader and it will work or do I have to do some modification???

  3. Fe-Do is building fretless faders with the help of Bob Kruijer.

Bob is programming the software code. He call his fretless fader "Midi Note Fader".

Fe-Do has build the fretless fader for Ritchie Ruftone.

The fretless fader from Rasp Haunt was build by Viny`Lord Son.

Rasp Haunt say he build it, but it was Viny`Lord Son.

  4. If I get 10 people to order a PCB it'll bring down the price to around £30 each including refurbished PCV fader. If you don't want the fader, £20.

I might just order some kits at that price anyway and just assemble them as people need. The components are so fucking cheap in bulk it's ridiculous.

I want the PCB with fader for £30!!!

  5. I've got UPR4!

I bought it blind hoping it was like the first one but was disappointed when it wasn't.

It went untouched for years until Paul finally got a PDX 3000. I believe in one afternoon we completely wore out one groove/sound.

If it hadn't been for that afternoon I might have had a mint copy :(

Personally, I find the long whiny tones a bit limiting musically. I much prefer sounds with their attack intact, hence DVS is very useful. I understand the mentality of wanting to do it without a laptop though.

    You have the UPR4 :d ???

I'm looking for that record for many years now and I can't find it.

Is it possible to get a digital copy of that?

  6. Very very cool!

Interesting you went for a mini innofader, I've warmed to the minis in my Z2 and I actually prefer the mini inno cut over the pro. Some things I wanna find out -

does the xfader send midi? Can midi out be programmed to the LEDs? USB powered?

The crossfader sends no MIDI data, the crossfader only cuts the audio signal.

The LEDs can be MIDI programmed. No USB powered, you need 12V DC power supply for the faderbox.

Thats pretty close to being the ultimate fader box !! Its given me a bit more inspiration to butcher the 06 with a midi mod. Nice cuts at the end too :-)

So many questions about the faderbox,..

How much did it cost to put together ?

Did you use another mixer for the components ?

What did you use for the midi ?

Why go for the mini jack connectors ?

Does it cut the single channel on both sides (like biox's ) ?

    Thanks man :-)

I used the elctronics from a vestax pmc06pro mixer for it.

For the MIDI controller I used the Livid Instruments Brain Jr. interface.

I used the mini jacks because i got more space on the faderbox side as with rca inputs.
