If you really want your drums to sound old school, grime & fat, never and I mean NEVER apply compression to your drum tracks. Use a Gate instead. This is the basic trick around Pete Rock's dopest of dope drums.

This is a known defect on all PDXs. The motor gets busted and acts like that, because of problems with the pitch/ultra pitch faders. If you can afford it, get those pitch faders checked, they might need to be replaced.

I own 2 of them (black ones) and I'm perfectly happy with how the faders feel, but...The 08 might had faders looking like the typical PCV circuits, but for some strange reason they need to be cleaned every month, otherwise they get super sticky. All you need to do is keep those faders clean & lubed, quite often.

Muzzell should really put out more stuff. There are very few scratchers left doing uncomprehensible stuff, and he is probably at the top of that list.

Absolutely fastastic work klustor! Thanks for treating us Android users with some loopers! I was thinking about trying to do the same and translate my SODB looper from Flash to Android, but couldn't bother with Adobe AIR enough (I had enough headaches while working around SwishMax already). Did you code that directly on AIR or found a way to bounce it from Flash?

I just mean overkill in the sense that it's analogue - for scratching, a digital on/off switch is sufficient. Innofaders are just modified A-Plus faders with different circuit boards, I'm using the same approach. If we start with a high-quality fader we'll get similar durability to the innofader, perhaps even better because the circuit will be simpler. Awww yis! I like this approach of yours!

rasteri, why do you think the mini Innofader is an overkill? I guess there could be quite a few people interested in getting a portable custom version of the mini Innofader, because of the durability (in number of passes).

Okay, I guess I'll go for the ION now. But people, try to keep this under the radar, ok? lol!
