Get some VSTis too. Edirol Orchestra. Awesome.
  2. That shit is awesome. So clean. Loving it.
  3. Body tricks are useful too!
  4. Yeah im using an external sound card to record. FS2, has more outputs recording and such. Though the stability of Serato won me over, It doesnt skip, no latency great sound, its just Rane all over really.
  5. Id say always try and be funky! Chirp Chirp Chirp Chirp always goes down well with a crowd, well the ones I have seen, make sure you use a variety of samples. You need funky cuts ones which makes peoples head nod, whats the point in it being complex if it sounds really bad? Make it funky!
  6. Drumming, yeah that goes down well, maybe fuck around with some melodies Ive got an awesome video of a tigerstyles routine, where he complete changes a melody from a record into something kinda dark and funky and layers it over a drum beat. Straight up battle cuts always go down well though.
  7. Yeah well I bought some equipment so i got it knocked down, was great. Awesome thanks for the link the updates look good!

Yeah ive got fruity, never use it any more, i use live, i dunno after a while i just didnt like it. Though its great to fuck around on.
  9. Just got it, pretty nice piece of kit, loading songs easy, quick and responsive, could not hear any latency no matter what I did! The scratch box is tiny, and built like a tank! Really nice piece of kit, I chose this over a CDX and its great for cutting your own samples great for production, Very pleased with it. Anyone else use serato? Also I got it for £380 haha not bad!!

    mixtapes

Try and check out some Z-Trip mixes, Yoda, Spinbad that kind of stuff! I like them, a lot of skills on show. I love Shadows stuff too. I prefer: Quick choppy mixes, lots of scratching/sampling and stuff.
  11. I really didnt like this bit of gear. Small keys, which are pretty bad if you have ever played or leared the piano etc. I guess thats why I didnt dig it, the sounds are quite funky! For the price the sounds cant be beaten, you can create some cool hip hop basslines and such, which is kinda cool. Id rather save up an extra £100 and buy the Korg X5D though, it has much better sounds. That said, the Vocoder can be really fun.
  12. I imagine you could get one for £250 if you play email ping pong that works a treat. If you get a converter it should work though.
  13. Yeah I paid full price for this mixer! Then they knocked the price down, that was a total fucking bummer I emailed Pioneer and they wont budge insisting there is nothing they can do lol. Oh well. For that price this is a serious piece of kit! The fader is really great, Ive owned a Stanton SA12, and a 360 which I later sold on ebay, and I have to say the 707 was my favourite, the adjustable tension on the fader is great, that fader is pure gold! Perfect cut in time, adjustable lag, and independant curve control knobs for the left and right side of the cross fader, great for some crazy skratch effects. People complain about the upfaders I think they are Alpha faders, and they arent bad quality, they are quite good though they feel a bit flimsy. Its a shame the EQs dont kill. The Sound quality is nice, and for £300 you cant go wrong. I have never ever tried a fader as nice as this. I even prefer it over Ranes magnetic fader. Its a great deal.
