  1. 500 prolly I need money for a car
  2. Yeah I wana flog some TTX turntables too heh
  3. Oh right I get you. Yeah maybe I was doing things wrong, but when its your first time using a program your bound to make mistakes, to give notes different sounds I just kept on creating unique copies, so I kinda got lost I had so many copies of everything, but hey it was a one off and it wasnt for me ill stick to what im good at, I just like experimenting thats all. PS DeeSwift/Flowerpot, If your reading this I got Native Instruments Guitar rig today, I hooked up my guitar to the computer, and it gives you such awesome amp sounds! Everything, you can customise it to your needs too. PM me if you want it or something. I know you both play the guitar so, let me know if you need it. Peace
  4. Haha yeah thats what I was after Ok cheers guys! Clownstyle, I was just doing it as an experiment to see if I could obtain the same results in CE that I could in other programs/instruments. I couldnt, it was so hard to add swing and shit, you know. Ill never use it again its very unefficient. Gives you the freedom of not using a grid yet, its so tedious and you dont have many EQ/Velocity options, and the whole creating unique copy thing just got on my nerves. If you want to flip samples, like you said I would try something else. Just wanted to see how others do shit on CE now I know its really annoying. hehe. Guys I dont mind if you dont check it, its nothing special, just wanted to piece something together in this program, its something totally different from what I normally use. Well it was my first time, didnt think arranging shit was too hard just time consuming. Peace. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Its unefficient if you aren't familiar with it, but if you know how to use it and the tricks involved to making songs etc...then you can create anything you want. Not for everyone but that's the beauty of it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah but you can in live and you can in cubase... I dont understand your comment? You can disable grids in live, choose velocity and swing, you can draw and edit notes, play them live if anything that makes it easier, and gives you the same ammount of freedom, so you can do the same in other programs. Ive being using live for ages, just felt like experimenting. Peace
  5. Disk has a myspace one doesnt he?
  6. Im loyal to Ableton Live and Cubase only hehe. Thats what I use bar my own instruments, was just experimenting, I dont need any other program Ableton + Cubase can do everything I want. I normally work live too, so I can improv, im currently working on a "project" which is me + a keyboard and a sampler. It should be interesting.

  8. lol no I never flip I play my own instruments, I just wanted to try it ill never do it again though. Its so pointless, lining them up, those drums would have took me a minute to do on my kit lol. jus wanted to see what it was all about never again though. I mean, asis were all cracking on about how you need years to do drum patterns in CE, thats my first time ever, in like an hour I couldnt be fucked to do it again never, just wanted to prove like you dont need practise to make simple patterns, you need TIME. Fuck that, never ever again. Ima stick with traditional shit hehehehe.
  9. I was bored, and I was told flipping samples on Cool Edit like Ricci does is really really hard, so I had a little go, its a joke file not a serious track but its all done in Cool Edit. I had a few samples of mine, which I chopped up to create a little melody, and then some drums, a kick, snare, cymbal etc, and I tried to chop them and cut them to make it my sound. Its tedious it took me 2 hours or so, alot of cutting and pasting and creating unique copies of shit. It was really fucking annoying infact. INFACT i got SO ANNOYED with this method I THOUGHT my head was going to impload, but I thought id stick with it BEFORE I JUMPED OUT OF MY WINDOW and CRACKED MY HEAD ON THE PAVEMENT It has scared me I WILL NEVER OPEN COOL EDIT again, even if im going to get run over by a ten TONNE truck I havnt EQed it I didnt check to see if everything was in the right place, it officially made me lose the will to live. I couldnt be fucked to fade samples in, to checck if shit was on time, to check levels, just wanted to get the LIVING nightmare over. arrrrrrrgh, anyway it was a pissabout file, I tried to create some freaky epileptic nutter sycopathic nintendo game theme. and I came up with this, I wanted to make it 3 minutes but I decided not to otherwise my brain would have shut down and I would have been human jello Heres the link: put the http:// in yourself h**p://s28.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1LJIGS2K7S2W01I51TFQT9IJS8 milk ~ Nintendo On Crack The start sample is from video game breaks. This is not what I normally do just wanted to flip samples for the first time in CE. arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggh excuse me while i drink a barrel of petrol ill upload a proper file soon eheheheh
  10. I cant wait for the Rodec, I know a lot of people use Rodec mixers just to EQ their productions the sound is so good. Rodec awesome.
  11. I like it, what did you use for the echo? KP2 EFX? Or is it built into a mixer, or CE Pro.. etc anyway I like it
  12. Im on skype a lot, im a relatively new scratcher, due to years playing other shit, but Chile has tought me some decent tears, clover tears, and other shit, stabs, frowards, chops, helped me with chirps, loads he taught me lazers, quite a lot infact I learned more on Skype in about an hour that I have in a week! Its awesome! Though a lot of the time not many people are on.
  13. Do you not cut the bass on the mixer? The turntable that your scratching on that is, cos theres a lot of low end frequencies. Ive listened, you have to walk before you can run I guess, practise what the guys said, I chat with Chile a lot, hes a great scratcher and he always emphasises to me how important faderless scratches are, and how you should practise to get confidence with your record hand. BTW Skype is a great way to learn new cuts! Peace
  14. whoa I didnt know comps like that were available...
  15. i thought it was nice for a week peaceizzle
  16. Most studios I have been in have Macs, they say they are better for audio more stable etc. But if you know how to build a decent DAW, a PC shouldnt trouble you.
  17. Clever idea chile. For me I get inspiration from everything, but a lot of the time it hits me when im not looking for it, have been walking down the country roads down here and I hear birds chirping, sometimes helps me come up with a melody. I find I work best if I have a clear mind, then things just seem to hit me. I know its weird but before I produce a lot of the time, and before I go to sleep and shit, I listen to Tibetan bells, meditation music and traditional japanese music really helps me to think clearly, and I know its helped my music. You always work best if your calm.
  18. Ive got a PDXMK2, I dont use my TTX anymore its a really nice turntable I love it.
  19. It works flawlessly on a laptop. It doesnt have any outputs for recordiong unlike FS if you have a laptop buy an external soundcard for around 80 and you would be ok.
  20. Ive got it, got it for 380. Little bit of bartering hehe. Its awesome, doesnt skip is stable, a nice small little box, loads of features, latency is unnoticable. Its a great bit of kit the only problem is it doesnt have many outputs.
  21. Hehe. This is crazy. Thanks for the support guys, i was just expressing an opinion, shit got way outa hand its mad, in no way did i mean to cause offence, like i said it was just an opinion these guys are nuts they just want any excuse to bash DV, anyway sorry for all the damn trouble it caused i guess.
  22. Digital production isn't supposed to sound like analogue manipulations. Your reasoning doesn't make much sense really.....if you want the natural sound aesthetic of the turntable then USE the turntable....nobody is trying to pass it off as anything BUT that. Scratching isn't ahh & fresh over battle breaks.....and its not piano scales over downtempo all scratched beats.... The turntable is an valid instrument and can be part of live instrumentation or can be a instrument/production tool on its own merits.....you don't see it going anywhere in musical stakes because its too new and like I said...there aren't many 'professionals' doing it. Scratching is only as complex and varied as the person using it......"professional results" come from professional people, Standard instruments aren't inherently better then a turntable and vice versa. I just don't get people with your mind set, people need to realize its STILL in the beginning stages. Keep in mind tha guitar used to only have ONE string.....can you imagine how silly you would sound NOW if you dismissed the guitar at its earliest stages of development?? Patience and practice will lead to progression....like I said...give it time and stop expecting it to be equivalent in terms of progression when comparing to an instrument, hundreds of years old with thousands of years of combined practice & knowledge dedicated to it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is why i said untill technology advances. Untill it does, I cannot see it going anywhere, why whats wrong with my mindset? I just have an opinion thats all. You cannot criticise me for having an opinion, this shit blew outa control from such a simple statement I made. Everyone has different views like I said I stated my points, and reasons for my thinking, im not going to go back on it its what I believe, but I dont want shit to get outta control so im not going to eleborate or reply on this "subject" anymore. Peace
  23. Yeah I know the days of people expressing their opinions without shit gettin outa control are long gone
  24. talk about busting a nut hahaheh
