  1. There is so many aliases :-) Depthcharge is one my favorites, Dj Grimreaper in the early days as i understood
  2. Son of noise , mad professor, dubzoic, depthcharge and om unit and basement5(no ballgames)
  3. B52's rule, guess this makes me a poser :-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VN8hV4AyNss
  4. sold both of my emaxes, rackversions, one SE and regular one, still don't know if i regret it :-) i knew there was a fix to implement a SD slot, but it sat for years in my rack doing nothing and used the cash for some up2date machinery What i did before selling them, was recording most samples in my DAW, half of the floppies weren't readable... nice info's kebzer, thumbs up
  5. dj on insta or twitter is a drama,it's both platforms not really suitable for musical content In general...it's just plain narcisists... let the music do the talking
  6. weird quote, sorry guys i mean in response to Rockwell, djpedia/Andre sirois is the person to do that
  7. Coming in contact with a lot of much older music at work and the like, it makes me realise that actually somebody should be documenting as much as they can about all and any music scenes whilst the people involved are still alive. First hand info, preferably from those of sound mind and without weird agendas or egos, should be gathered whenever possible IMO. When it comes to scratch related stuff, i guess djpedia/Andre sirois is the person to do that
  8. Thanks for sharing this, thats fire! I enjoyed watching your set at IDA, with this it makes it even better and gives a little insight on what you did on stage
  9. Hi everyone, Longtime lurker here and after 5 posts in 3 years, i realized i never introduced myself Scratching since '88 or maybe better said i've been trying since Like to collect obsolete battle mixers and make some tunes once in a while https://soundcloud.com/cutdisco cheers
  10. there you mention something :-) , i've seen BMX demo's in a total '80's set up or guys riding only pools on old boards and leaving all the 'modern' stuff for what it is, plus there is so many people making music with just old equipment, leaving computers for what it is....so it popped into my mind when will there be remakes(in a fun way) of early DMC routines or re-doing all the classic cuts from lets say DJ-2tuff to Cash money/Jazzy Jeff etc etc in a, lets say total 80's/90's outfit incl all the gear :-) Can't really add something to nowadays (scratching)standards but i'm a nostalgic person for this shit)))) So i collect some of that old stuff that nobody seems to care about since pushing buttons took it all over 2x, Melos pmx-2 Melos pmx-2000 japanese import Gemini mx-2200, unfortunatley not the jazzy jeff version Vestax pro-05 samurai Vestax pro-06 samurai Vestax pro-05 2x Technics sh-dj 1200 Ecler HAK 380 Ecler hak 310 Vestax pmc 03a Vestax 05a (trix version) Vestax pmc 005 yellow Vestax pmc 005 black Vestax pmc 05 pro 4 2x Finch Sniper, approx. 100 made of these in NL, as i believe the first mixer with a digital fader, fader would never bleed or die as the audio signal didnt run through the X-fader...this was around ''91/'92 plus a GLI 8000 which isn't of any importance in dj-history well, thats enough ego boosting for now :-P some to be found in this picture
  11. this shit can't be real http://www.uvi.net/en/music-genres/scratch-machine.html
  12. Hi guys, Does anyone happen to have some info on the GLI pmx-8000 mk-1, From what i know the pmx-9000 was used a lot in the old days, but i'm just not sure wether the 8000 played a role in ''scratching history'' or not. pz
