  1. update..... just discovered translator aspi doesnt work with windows 7-64 bit. however i reinstalled translator in xp mode and after a few adjustments i was able to correctly format the flash card. i didnt have time to try installing the software, but i will advise what happens later
  2. its not that. i know 2gb is the max for asr. i bought it pre formatted from scsi4samp. asr partitions arent quite the same way as mpc. u can create 38 directories per part however in each one, u can still create 38 more sub directories and so on until the disk is full. so in a sense u could end up with 1000 parts. mpc is 26 max. i just need to get the os on there successfully after that id be fine.
  3. so i have a flash card reader installed and an external zip drive. (i think i may have posted about this a while back, but let me try again). a fuse burned out on the asr and i took it in to get replaced. done, asr works. but now the flash reader is acting funny. at start up it was just say "please insert disk". then i talked to JD at scsi who told me to send it back to him and he'd check it out. he did whatever and said it worked fine. he said it might be scsi cables or something so i sent me a zip drive to try if that worked. it does. the scsi recognizes the zip drive but not the flash. (internal btw). i totally neglected it forever and have been exclusively using my keyboard as a midi for FL. i decided to give the flash another go today and DL'd translator. i downloaded the OS which is in .eda form. i formatted the flash, which in the middle of formatting i get a message saying "not enough space available on this ensoniq volume" the message only shows up when i select the the OS during the formatting process, which of course i need the OS added. bottom line i guess does anyone know what i'm doing wrong? the OS size is 1.54 mb and the flash card is 2gb. i'm super confused. any suggestions/help is greatly appreciated. thanks
  4. i got the audio 6 with pro2 software.. shits crazy. u dont even really have to have much mixing experience. bpm is right there.. just pick a song amd bam! i need to learn to cut on the right side. lowest latency i can go is 5. overall super intuitive and fun!
  5. so after reading this again i realize its a wack thing actually lmao i was hoping komplete 6 was a beefed up version of audio 6. that would have really made it a complete system! since i already have fast track, i guess i'll just keep it and get audio 6. why wouldnt they just combine the 2 and make a super dj/studio box?
  6. thats what i was hoping to hear! im definitely going with komplete 6. now i just need to sell the fast track and my emu mp-7.
  7. So i'm thinking of getting this but before i do, can anyone tell me if this would actually replace the need for my m-audio fast track pro? I want the Komplete as it has midi connectivity. So i guess my question is can i use the interface with my studio software and sell the fast track?

  16. Anyone try this fader? is it worth getting? Is it like the old pvc fader where as you need to break off the fader box plate so you can clean it? Is there even such a fader that literally stays buttery its entire life?? i once owned the pioneer 404 for a while and really liked that fader. pretty sick. Anyway, i read a review on skratchworx and they compare it to the P&G. Which i tried and isn't my personal favorite, but i guess i'm just so accustomed to the pvc. In case you'd like to read it yourself: http://www.skratchworx.com/reviews/cf-cc.php
